      Unique in what way(s)?

This "same sound" thing not being a bad thing about a band isn't flying with me. I get what you're saying, but I mean, whats the point of buying more than one album if all they do is reproduce the same 4-5 songs?

You know... that "white boy raspy" voice that the lead singer has. Sort of what Steppenwolf does.

Well, that is, if you firmly do believe that they are producing the same 4 - 5 songs. After hearing them for a while, I can easily distinguish each song from each other.

Or how Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Jerry Cantrell, Layne Staley, Mark Arm etc sounded?

Well, the songs shouldn't be so similar that it takes a while listening to them to distinguish one song from another.

I would hardly say that Chad Kroeger's voice is anywhere near being "unique" in any way, shape or form. If you don't think there are twenty white raspy frontmen, then you apparently haven't listened to mainstream rock radio in the past fifteen years. His vocal stylings are about as original as Scott Stapp.

Speaking as someone who possesses The State, Silver Side Up and The Long Road, I can safely say that the amount of originality they put into their music after "Leader of Men" became a minor hit in 2000 is quite minute. It's like they took that song, realized what they needed to make it a bigger hit -- ie: a more repetitive riff and a catchier hook -- created "How You Remind Me" from it, and then duplicated that song for every single track they have put out since then.

I love Nickleback. Their songs dont sound the same but they definitly use the same style in each song. But even if they did sounds the same... I wouldnt care because I like them so why would i be bad if they were al good?

Photograph is a horrible, horrible song. The lyrics just sound awkward and Kroeger's voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

they get a little repetitive after having to listen to them nonstop since nobody nowadays makes anything worth listening to ...............

tell me which bands don't have songs that sound the same. Most bands have songs that sound just like another song they have. Ac/dc, most of all the rock bands you name it.

                              Someday is a great song.

It's a song that had a lot of meaning to me, and made me desire a relationship as fulfilling as the one lost in the song.

I haven't seen the video to this day, but my interpretation of the song is different than what I gather the video is about.. And I like my interpretation much more.

You couldn't pay me to see Trapt again. The worst live band I've ever seen.

I loved their first album, but they were atrocious live.
