    American Psycho (2000) WARNING SPOILER

OK, I was a little tired when I watched this movie, and I was drifting in and out a bit, but I was disappointed by what a thought was a NON CHILLING flick. And what was the deal at end-did he just imagine he killed all those people?

I saw this movie in theatres when it came out and I remember walking out of the theatre feeling like.....

        GREAT movie.

It's not suppose to be a horror flick folks. It's a satire on the "me first" materialistic 80s.

You either hate it or love it...I fall in the latter.

Only movie you'll ever see someone get hacked to death with an Axe while Huey Lewis's "Hip to Be Square" is playing in the background.

Maybe I'm a bit sick, but I love that scene.

This movie was never suppose to be a horror movie by any means. It's a dark comedy. It's ****ing hilarious.

The funniest part of the movie is at the beginning when the guys dance at the club. The dance Timothy Bryce does is classic. My friends and I mimic that all the time.

This is one of my all-time favorites yet I have never read the book. I need to do that.

The book is 100X better than the movie, they cut a lot out of the book. The Book is a lot gorier and a lot more violent.

EDIT - Changed the movie to the book for being more violent.

Doesn'y sound very funny to me. In the book, did he just imagine he killed those people?

Sorry, I meant the book is much gorier and more violent, not the movie. He kills animals, and homeless just for fun in the book. And yes, he does commit the murders in the book.

It's open like the movie, to lead you to believe that it could be a dream, but from the descriptions, it leads you more to believe it's real, not a dream like the movie did.

I've started the book two or three times and each time I get busy and have to put it down. But, from what I've read, it seemed to me like he killed people, unless the article(s) in the newspaper were part of his imagination as well.

No EG, I was referring to Apog and Dieselboy's posts. Looking back on it, it was more funny than scary.
