Re: fans of underground rap?
Well that means you know quality when you hear it.
I mean, I would put those songs up against any medium of self-expression TV,Movies, Art, Poerty. They are that friggin good.
I finally got around to the Buckshot & 9th wonder album today and I would say so far so good.
Murs and Slug just speak to me on a level I didnt think was possible, I can't explain it."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: fans of underground rap?
I just picked up a new album by Krizz Kaliko called, "Vitiligo". I've listened to it a couple times through now, and I'm really liking it. Krizz could become the next Nate Dogg if he wanted to. He has a great voice, almost opera-like, on his hooks. But he can spit rhymes too. He's versatile, and it's like he has multiple personalities throughout each song. He'll sound like 3 different guys on the same track, but they're all him.
I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Top tracks to me are, "Anxiety", "Do Sum'n", "Crew Cut", "Rewind", and "Where You Want Me.""You should only drink to enhance your social skills." -Barney GumbleComment

Re: fans of underground rap?
My little brother was watching some stupid MTV show, when what do I see - an Atmosphere plug as their artist of the week.
Now I am really conflicted, they deserve success - however I want them to myself."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: fans of underground rap?
Another great Japanese producer called 45:
This is a really good album. I don't know what's going on with Japan but every producer that I've heard from there is crazy.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: fans of underground rap?
starting today thru the rest of the week, you'll see a lot of videos featuring atmosphere on MTV.
some are funny. some are silly. all in all it was fun to do.
some of you may have a tendancy to frown on our involvement with mtv, and for those of you that feel that way, please take a moment to reflect on the positives. every 30 seconds they give to a couple of idiots like us, is 30 seconds taken away from some other idiots. every new person they expose us to, is another potential piece of this movement that all of us take part in.
once you've considered that, feel free to hate, or feel free to love.
or just feel free.
keep it moving.
most of the spots were filmed here in minneapolis, and the on stage performance is from the Webster Hall show in New York.
enjoy!

I know how you feel man but I don't think they'll blow up. They don't have a mainstream sound.
Going to look for it right now.Comment

Re: fans of underground rap?
LOL @ the battle between Slug and Brother Ali's son Faheem.
I turn the tv all week around 5 am and I see Atmosphere commercials every morning. Was surprising seeing it the first time.
Scroll down watch the 2nd video and they have all the MTV spots.Last edited by Brandwin; 05-08-2008, 09:03 PM.Comment
