It just disappointed me cause I loved Grey Hairs and everything else that I've heard Reks on. I wish that Statik Selektah had produced more of the songs.

Any fans of Mr. Lif? He's got a new album coming out next month, I Heard It Today. He's releasing all the tracks one at a time on his myspace page and currently has three new ones up from the album. http://www.myspace.com/mrlif

Also, anybody listen to Quest's Distant Travels Into Soul Theory?

This new DOOM project is crazy. He put his heart and soul into it and it was worth the wait.

I don't know - its good, but some of it feels rushed/subpar. Gazillion Ear is pure fire, though.

I believe that the stuff that you think sounds rushed is him doing some really creative, outside thinking on the musical end. The lyrics are fire through and through, but I think all of his beats on this album are really good too.

Actually, the stuff that sounds rushed to me are the more simpler beats because while they definitely have DOOM's sound to them, they don't sound near as interesting or good as his beats from previous albums. I can't comment on his lyrics yet because they usually take a bit longer to judge with his style.

DOOM's whole persona and music make perfect sense to me.

Here is a quote I heard from Mos Def that I agree with 100%:

"Doom rhymes as weird as I feel."

Doom makes weird music, but hey, I'm a weird kid. So I like it.

                            Lack of flow? LOL.

Doom's lyrics are pure poetry. The way he uses the sounds of words in his lyrics is unmatched by any other MC. I read and write poetry, and I feel like Doom is one of the most innovative poets living right now. Hell, one of my poetry professors actually assigned us to listen to 5 MF Doom songs and then write a poem, lol.

Yes his flow is horrible. LOL.

I read and write poetry as well and I think he's trash.
