Unfortunately I really don't know anyone with the same music taste as me. Like one friend and my brother, thats about it.

Definitely. I take complete credit for introducing Columbus to Little Brother too, every single person I've met who knows about them(and these are random people) found out about them from either my old myspace page or heard about them from someone who went to my myspace page.

people know I listen to underground, but they consider me the dude who knows the most about hip-hop or rap. Moreso than anyone around.

Most of my friends, yes. My friends that comprise 8 Bit Cynics and Jabee, not even close, although they know that I know a lot more than most short white boys walking around southwest Oklahoma.

I'm the hip-hop go-to guy for some of my friends, but most don't even listen to hip-hop anymore, but the few that do will go to me.

Wow. Finally heard this today. Blu is on another level right now.

Anybody know anything about these Fortlive guys? First time I'm hearing them, any albums to be on the lookout for?

This is from Shingo Suzuki's album The Abstract Truth. I completely forgot that I downloaded the album but it's really good.

It's actually Fortilive with an 'i'. They are in illmind's crew. I know about them, but they recently just popped up around the early part of summer 2008.

I don't care much for them at this point, so I'm not going to go out of my way to get their stuff unless they happen to be on someone else's album/mixtape. Rappers like Akrobatik, Little Brother, or Silent Knight.

They were on "Blaps, Rhymes, & Life" so they could be decent up-and-comers, but I deleted that song because I thought it was blahh.

Don't stone me for this...but I've never truly dl'd and listened to The Roots.

You guys can hate, but guess what, I just downloaded 4 of their albums and get to listen to them for the first time.

                                In my mind I'm lucky.

*Yes I know the popular songs...but now I get to listen to everything*
