If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: fans of underground rap?
Artist: Mick Boogie & Little Brother
Album: ...And Justus For All
Producers: Young Cee; Oddisee; Nottz; RJD2; Focus; Khrysis; Kickdrums; DJ Premier; Babu; 9th Wonder; J. Cardim; Phonte; MIDI Mafia
This mixtape is spectacular from front to back, and the best part is that the compilation is free to download on-line. Little Brother has approached mixtapes as a marketing tool to hype their upcoming album. They even profess this many times throughout this mixtape which can begin to grow tiresome. The little Mick Boogie signature sound might lighten things up a bit. You'll hear it over 100 times. One thing about Little Brother is all their coined phrases from past albums and blogs that we've all begun to know are being rehashed a lot unfortunately. The music however, the most important aspect, is fresh and great to listen to. Some of their skits are pretty on point, even with the rehashing. One song that stands out to me is "Bring It On" by Big Pooh ft. Ray Cash. The beat is taken right from "Bring It On" by Jay Z on "Reasonable Doubt", and it's amazing. All I got to say. The beats may be changing up, but the Little Brother flow is not. It's still the Little Brother we've grown to love. Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh. Yes, its minus 9th for the most part, but get used to it. It's actually not too hard.

Re: fans of underground rap?
That might not be a bad idea Dook.
My favorite track from their last mixtape "Let it Go" got Black Starred on Justus for All, and has Talib! Needless to say the song got ten times better in my mind.
Edit: dude you guys will be laughing out loud the first time through at certain lines and skits.. seriously hilarious stuff.Comment

Re: fans of underground rap?
Yeahh, I remember hearing some of the same sentiment with some tracks from Talib's mixtape with Madlib.. how his flow doesn't quite fit with certain beats.. so I can understand where you're coming from. I personally think he sounds fine on the Let it Go remix, but yeah his other track is GREAT.
The myspace interlude is a crack up.. and so is the song "Last Day".. where Phonte gets kinda Dead Prezish haha.Comment
