Let me give a quick little summary.

I got in line about 8:15 (there were about 30 ahead of me) we got in the doors about 9:30 (man it was so hot, I was getting aggravated from the wait, my feet were killing me and I was so HOT, sweat just pouring) So about 11, the band that was on the road with them came out and did about a 40 minute set by then though I was getting pissed, although they were nice and all, my feet were killing me (I wore the wrong damn shoes) and I was just ready for LB to come on. So finally they came on and the rocked it! I never been to a show that good. I mean the energy, the vibe just everything was just great. They were on stage for about an hour (did about 10 songs) and Phonte was his crazy self, acting a fool and making the crowd laugh getting them involved. It was just a dope show.

But the best part of the night had to be this...I was right in front (one person in front of me so say second row somewhat) and Phonte is giving everyone dap, showing love etc. So there was some guy standing right beside me and he and I stick our hands out, well Phonte gets him and just pulls his hand back in (like he didn't see me) I turned to my girl who and was like damn, he left me hanging...no sooner as I got those words out of my mouth, he sticks his hand out for me, give me a shake and was like "oh is that DookieMowf, what's up" (I post at the Lawn under that name and we have spoke a few times etc) without sounding like too much of a groupe it...well f it, I'll come off as a groupie, that was my "WOW" moment of the night. For him to acknowledge me like that, was just crazy. It just shows they really do care about their fans.

After the show I spoke with Pooh and D Brock a for a few and then when Phonte came out and he was like, what's up DookieMowf and we kicked it for a few. They were just some down to earth people, just some regular folks. I didn't get no autographs, but I did get pictures of them on stage and one with pooh and me and then one with phonte and myself ( I wasn't able to get them both together because they were in different places interacting with the fans) but the night started slow, but by the end, this is the best show I have ever been too. I can't wait for the next one.

My girlfriend took all the pics so I'm going to have to wait for her to upload them on photobucket or something. BTW, she is a fan now. she loved every minute of it.
I hate you. First you get to meet the Strange Fruit Project, now it's LB. You suck.

I just pretty much said what's up to SFP and Verbal Seed and another guy who was there said take a pic.

I spoke a few with Phonte (didn't say much too Pooh, other then what's up and how I liked the show, he didn't speak back to much) but Phonte was being himself and spoke a bit (a couple of minutes) wish I didn't have to go (where I parked you had to have your car out of there by 2:30 am) or I would of stayed a bit longer.

Phonte was really down to earth though.
When you say D Brock are you referring to Darien Brockington?
Yep, he was real cool too.

That's cool though. Hopefully I'll get to go to one of their shows soon. I need to post more on the Lawn too, I haven't been there in awhile.

Anybody hear the Blu & Exile album "Below The Heavens"? Best album of the year IMO. Blu is something serious on the mic and Exile's beats are consistently solid.

Yea, the Deftones instrumental is awesome when paired with the Dead Prez lyrics.

By the way, the song is Deftones - My Own Summer (Shove It). I love that song, when I work out it blares.

                              All-Pro Football 2K8 Soundtrack

Chali 2na headlines the soundtrack as the first track you'll hear upon starting the game, and it should be expected in videogames by now. Chali 2na shows up more in a game of 5's than he does with Jurassic 5. The tempo of the track fits the pace of football very well but the song isn't anything spectacular. Chali's lyrics aren't very impressive.

The beat to "Sudden Death" by DJ Faust is pretty decent but is tiresome as just an instrumental, and the verbal chops are cheesy.

It's nice to hear Rakim on a game based on legendary players and who's better to call than Rakim who is a legendary playa himself. The track is a blend of Rakim's oldschool work and a modernized rap/rock melody to capture the intensity and adrenaline that is football.

The rap/rock sound gets old though as the same approach was attempted by Clutch, Gift of Gab and Dub Trio, Deftones and Dead Prez, and Rush. Dead Prez delivered with lyrics that hit hard, football style.

The song by Gift of Gab and Dub Trio really shows off Gab's skills and speed on the mic but overall it fails to satisfy, and you're really better off having songs on your 360 harddrive at this point, but we'll keep listening.

Lateef and Slug's "On My Side" isn't too shabby and it gives this poor soundtrack some bright spots by appearing old-school in what should have been an old-school rap/rock driven compilation.

"I Don't Need This Trouble" is pretty nice to scroll through menu's with when you may need some of the rappers to shut up for you to think about what you have to do next (for us non-multi-taskers), but they could have gone with a more old-school jazz tune rather than this new-age jazz crap.

"Sure Shot" by Casual and Pep Love is another one of those older-sounding new songs that appear on APF 2K8, and more of this would have been a step in the right direction.

The last song is pure trash wow ("Tom Sawyer [Z-Trip Remix]" - Rush).

There are only 12 tracks on this soundtrack which is hardly enough, and most of them seemed to be picked by Linkin Park/Limp Bizkit fans which pretty much destroyed anything this compilation had going for it... which was nothing really. None of the songs I "liked" are even worth repeating regularly.

The soundtrack alone screams "Buy Madden!"
