        Artist: Panacea
        Mixtape: The Scenic Route
        Producers: K-Murdock
        Release Date: September 4, 2007

When the album first started rolling, I'll admit that I got pretty giddy. It sounded like I was about to be in for a ride with smooth psychadelic beats from K-Murdock. The emcee even sounded like Gift of Gab from Blackalicious on the first track. However, the beats are actually the same, I think. Well, obviously they're not the same, but I swear, since you listen to music subconsciously for the most part, this album will just seem like one super-long alien ballad that quite frankly doesn't do it for me.

Thumbs down to K-Murdock who has the right production sound, but the setup and flow of the album is off just because it's rediculously boring. Some may love this LP and completely diagree with the C-, but it takes a special listener. Someone with flavor that is so far in left field that we question their humanity. Someone like Nivek . jp homie.

Venom was a bit better, but you can't deny the BX swagger of Chaundon who is always very enjoyable to listen to. Some of his lyrics have me cracking up. Cats in the Justus League are some funny dudes. The link for this mixtape might not work, so in that case you guys will have to find this one yourself because I can't. It's only in bootleg format (one track). The producers present are Khrysis, 9th Wonder, Pete Rock, J Dilla, E. Jones, & Just Blaze.

yeah that is what I meant... I'll change it, thanks for pointing that out. It doesn't really make sense as BK anyway, because I was pointing out his swagger as something different, and every rapper and their brother hails from Brooklyn lol.

I have to find out who produces this album because it sure as hell is interesting, but it's not something I will play all that often. The Northwest has been pumping out a few albums here and there, some good, some bad, some mediocre, but all of them have one thing in common. Tone-mellow mc's that put you to sleep. Same fate here.

This album's segue's are kind of scary. The beats are really nice though, I have to say again. Some of the lyrics are pretty solid and that is another trait of Northwest rappers. It's just the fact that it has to come out a bit better than it has been.

For some reason i do think I am going to be disappointed though. I mean don't me wrong, I think it's going to be a nice album, but at some point or another something gots to give, right? Or matbe I am just tricking my mind so I won't overhype it anymore?

                          I dunno too much!
