    Re: Young Jeezy in trouble

From what I hear Young Jeezy has money from some mafia type connection in Atlanta. He was driving bentleys while everyone else in the Boyz in Da Hood group was on the tour bus. He's in more than the normal hustling in the hood or at least what I hear.

Its economic suicide for someone like him to hire a armed and licensed bodyguard. Its cheaper to carry a gun and risk a charge.
you are right, but isn't he also paying for his posse (who were involved in this incident) to go around with him too? how can they afford to get to all these cities and clubs otherwise? I will admit i'm clueless as to if members of the posse are also backup singers or something, so that might explain things.

It costs money to hire bodyguards.

Good point but from what I heard, Jeezy already had loot before his deal. Whether it was from drugs or whatnot, I have no idea. Besides, the man signed 2 record deals with 2 big labels. His dough should be striaght. (Well, Diddy does'nt cound since he's always jerking his artist). But if you can afford fancy cars and a nice crib, you should be able to afford some legal protection. Thats the way I see it.

BTW, depending on his deal, he may not have to pay for most tour expenses. Plus there is usually some type of sercurity appointed to you. Some can get that type of love, some cant. I dont know his situation.

But he's not paying his crew a salary. They are happy with a hotel room and coach plane ticket. Thats not the same as hiring a bodyguard.

With that said, its well known in the industry that Jeezy is a thug with real life criminal connections. He doesnt seem like the type of guy who would have a bodyguard even if he could afford it.

That pretty much sums it up. Thats why I call him and types like him stupid. Good music but not smart at all. People can talk about 50 all they want, heck I even do it but you cant deny that the man is smart.

If I put you in this quiet suburb and gave you alot of cash I highly doubt you'll be the same person you were in the hood. Its the lowlifes trickery of the mind that makes one keep a ghetto mentality. You're soppose to break free from all that. Whatever happened to being sucessful and moving on with your life? If the ties to your past were no good for you, you should feel no shame and breaking those ties. But instead ppl let this "sellout" word get to them. It can also get you into trouble which has been the case with countless rappers already.

If you take a man out the hood they are soppose to better themselves, not live in the past.
thats not the way it works . you are who you are - if ur a thug and come up on dough - guess what ur a wealthy thug. for the most part aint nothing going to change your mentality

you wouldnt know whats its like to be a thug and then just come up on money - neither would i but still. its not realistic to think that money is going to make you a better person. put some thugs in the burbs and they will act like thugs - regardless if they arent in "the hood" anymore.

its not that i condone "thugs" , hell i hate lowlife ppl/ i get hit up often by the local gangsters and i cant stand them but if someones ghetto-they re ghetto ...money aint going to change that.
