Tremendous episode. I was really starting to like tweener; mahone is a douche.
But another reason to hate baseball.Comment

Re: Prison Break-Season 2
I'm surprised with the number of deaths in this season.
But, I guess it had to happen. The plot is thickening and the writers do need to slim down the number of characters to keep everything moving smoothly; not to mention it adds suspense and shock value.
I just didn't think the kid would go down next.
Sucre, though...damn. I can't wait to hear his reasons for doing it.
And LJ getting released? That's an interesting move."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Prison Break-Season 2
I am too. It doesn't give me any comfort about the long-term viability of this show. I mean the storyline itself can only go so far before it's 4 seasons down the road and there hasn't been a prisonbreak for 3 seasons and such....

Lincoln, Scofield and T-Bag are the major players I'm interested. Sucre and C-note are lame, boring or irrational. Tweener was at least funny.
Haywire's story is just stupid...Raft to Holland. He'll be caught and his story will just have been pointless. He's wandering so aimlessly I can't see how he could possibly bump into Scofield and Co. out of chance.

Re: Prison Break-Season 2
I think that a character like Sucre is important, though.
They found the money and seemed to be in the clear. Sucre changes that. With his history and previous behavior, it's somewhat believable that he would do something that would actually jeopardize the plan.
I agree with you that Lincoln will end up in trouble when he looks for LJ. I imagine that will be the next big problem for Michael - after he gets his money back from Sucre.
I just found it surprising that they let LJ go. It's obvious that Kellerman is losing his power quickly. I wonder how long till he's ousted."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Prison Break-Season 2
It's not supposed to last more than 3 seasons, I thought.
I hope they stick to the plan, because the longer it goes on, the less interesting it'll get, and more stretched out. Meaning less people will tune in, and they will have fewer opportunities to conclude the story.
In any case, it sucks that Tweener was killed off, but there wasn't much that could be done with his character. One he's caught, his story was pretty much over, though I was still shocked to see Mahone pull the trigger.
And Sucre is ridiculously dumb. I like his character, he's one of the "good guys", but he has to be the dumbest of the bunch.
As for Haywire, I find his little story segments to be pretty funny.
I hope Lincoln doesn't get caught so soon, but I think you're right, they're probably going to make him stupid enough to get caught going for his kid. Though both Lincoln and Michael should have realized it was a trap once they heard that the evidence "disappeared" against the kid so he was being released.
Anyway, Prison Break's getting really interesting again, IMHO.Comment

Re: Prison Break-Season 2
What would make the show REALLY interesting is introducing a character who is a foil for the foil's of Scofield.
No not someone who helps Scofield and hates the FBI. I mean someone like a Internal Affairs Investigator at the FBI who is keeping tabs on Mahone (the FBI lead investigator guy who is on drugs). I mean this is the 2nd prisoner in his sole custody that has turned up dead. And the first one was clearly a sloppy execution he got in trouble for. Let's introduce an IA investigator who meddles with Mahone and finds out about his drug problem.....that'd add a nice twist.Comment

Re: Prison Break-Season 2
According to the interview with the creator, the show was mapped out for four seasons when he presented it to FOX.
***
Did some research and Wikipedia brings up this comment:
The success of the show has caused its producers to reevaluate stories for future seasons. Executive producer and writer, Paul T. Scheuring says, "With success comes questions about season three, so now we’re framing the first two seasons as chapter one of the ‘trilogy’."
I just wonder how two seasons can be Chapter One of a trilogy. Perhaps, he wants season three to be chapter two and season four to be chapter three (that would fit in with his mapping out four seasons)."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Prison Break-Season 2
I still can't see Sucre as a bad guy, the preview for next week shows Michael and Sucre together in the woods and Michael said something to him, do you think maybe Michael set it up and had it planned to where Sucre took all the money and he was going to meet up then split it with Michael or did Sucre really turn bad?Favorite Teams:
