    Re: South Park Thread

Kudos to South Park for tackling the cartoon jihad.

"Freedom of speech is at stake here, don't you all see? If anything, we should all make cartoons of Mohammed and show the terrorists and the extremists that we are all united in the belief that every person has a right to say what they want. Look people, it's been really easy for us to stand up for free speech lately. For the past few decades, we haven't had to risk anything to defend it. One of those times is right now. And if we aren't willing to risk what we have now, then we just believe in free speech, but won't defend it."
    Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

I like the sand idea better.

I agree with the idea that it's getting back at C.Central and Scientology.

At the end it said something along the lines of on next weeks episode.... if Comedy Central doesn't puss out.

Tonight is the episode, that is if they do play part 2 of what happened last week. I don't know, I didn't see any previews. Either way it is a new episode tonight of SP and Mind of Mencia(which btw I have started watching and it is pretty good).

          C.Central could puss out.

But I hope it's the part two, and not a new Terrance and Phillp like they did to the Cartman's mom 2 parter.

            I was kinda close.

But I enjoyed the episode and what the writing staff was had me thrown through a loop.

I guess they proved a point with the ending that in America it's okay for Jesus, President Bush, and a few others to take a crap on themselves and the American Flag. However Showing Muhammed simply standing there is wrong.

18-1 hell of a season regardless

These last two episodes aren't really about scientology, but viacom and censorship in general. And of course, Family guy.

Also, the big wheel chase scene and the fight scene seem almost like stabs at MI:3.

I thought it was great stuff. I was in tears when they showed the manatees working with the idea balls.

These last 2 episodes were alright, not great by and means. I would like them to get back and just do good humor and not so much do the social comentary. It's not bad, but I would like to see more episodes like the first few seasons just stuff that make me laugh till I cry. I still think the episode with the whole "red rocket" gag was the best.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

My thoughts exactly. At first I was upset that they included Jesus but after thinking about it they really made a strong point. These episodes did have a lot of meaning or moral story and there was one point they mentioned that in last nights episode. I may not like everything they make fun of but they do make fun of everthing.

I loved the Cartoon Wars episodes. Comedy Central's execs are a bunch of spineless wimps for not showing Mohammed, who has already appeared on South Park in the episode "Super Best Friends".

                              C.Central actually did censor it.
