Their pretty good. Tommy the Cat and My Name is Mud are good ones to start with. RHCP is better IMO. Try Blackeyed Blond, Get up and Jump, Skinny Sweaty Man, and Stone Cold Bush for Bass. Also The Greeting Song is good too.

I picked up Sailing the Seas of Change yesterday and its definitely banging. I love the basslines. For some reason I cannot get into RHCP fully. Its good music, but I rarely grab for it.

You mean Sailing the Seas of Cheese? And that's kind of how I am with primus. Their good but I just can't get into them too long. For RHCP I have almost 30-40 songs by them and listen to them A LOT.

Yeah Cheese. I have BSSM and Californication and RHCP just has never clicked with me.

Wow. If you don't like BSSM then your probably not going to like too much. You have their middle sound and their newer sound. You could try the older part with Hilel and when Flea was INSANE and had no techinque whatsoever. Just pure madness. Try Get up and Jump or Blackeyed Blond. You can find them on youtube.

No, no no. I like BSSM, but I pretty much never find myself really wanting to listen to it. If that makes sense.

Right now my favorite indie band, without a doubt, is Okkervil River.

                      I'll add to the list:

Muse - Someone mentioned it earlier (about 3 years ago ), but this group is stellar.

Silversun Pickups - They have a different sound, but it's very good. Check out "Panic Switch" on their new album Swoon

Breaking Benjamin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Foo Fighters ...
