I think you have to unsubscribe through itunes then delete them off your computer I"m assuming. That's what I did to a couple of them that sucked imo and they're not on there anymore. Making room for some anime.......

A friend of mine just set up his itunes and is trying to play some .wma files with itunes but it won't work for him for some reason. I remember setting itunes as my default music player but can't remember how I did that exactly. Can someone tell me how to get his music going so that I can let him know what he is doing wrong.

WMA is a Microsoft format, and as far as I know, itunes doesn't support it.

Look for different programs that convert audio files (WMA, AVI) into mp3. Google and you'll find a few free ones. The one I use right now that works very easily is AltoMP3 Gold. Simple stuff on the real. A lot of comedy I had to convert and it does it in a reasonable time. Very reasonable.

iTunes should prompt you to convert the WMA file when you try to add it to your library, why not just do that?

Perhaps it is a PROTECTED .wma file, in which case you are SOL.

One general question to anyone who cares to respond:

For those of you who "hate" iTunes....may I ask why?

It actually does keep your music in the order of "Artist" Folder---> "Album" Folder within that Artist Folder----> Tracks within that album Folder, with track number if you desire.

                  Well, so everyone knows:

If there is no sign of physical damage to your headphones(frayed, cut cords, etc.) you can get them replaced. Those headphones are part of your 1yr limited warranty, or your 2yr AppleCare if you opted for that(you can still purchase it within the first year from original date of purchase).

Just take the malfunctioning headphones into your local Apple Store. They'll test them, and replace if need be(again, you have to be within warranty).

The better question would be why the hell are you using the headphones that came with the ipod?

That's a funny one. They were free but I know that when I'm done with these headphones, I'm going to get myself something a hell of a lot more comfortable cause these suckers are too difficult to keep in. The white look is in though most likely......

I'm going with a pair of Shure's e2c's soon. They retail for about $100, but I've seen them at various places on the net for about $60.
