Does Quicktime pro convert dvd to ipod formats? I'm thinking about purchasing it or at least something that would be able to do that. Too much time to kill. Anyone know a great program to do this??

Re: Official iPod Thread
There are a couple ways to do it. I have a step by step tutorial saved on my PC at home. Can't remember where I got it, but I'd be glad to e-mail it to you. Just PM me your e-mail address.Comment

Re: Official iPod Thread
If you still have the 1-year warranty, you can go on the Apple website and request headphones from some certain section of the site... forgot exactly how, but go to the iPod section and dig. You'll need your serial number. And I believe it's free too, you don't even pay shipping as long as you're still under warranty.Comment

If you do get the nano, you'd probably need to buy a clip to use running and at the gym. You can find some pretty inexpensive clips. But if you don't run, the shuffle seems like a pretty good option, especially with a built in clip.Last edited by ESPNdeportes; 06-16-2007, 02:20 PM."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: Official iPod Thread
If you're a runner, I'd highly recommend getting a nano and then getting the Nike+ running sensor. I have it, and I can honestly say it keeps you motivated to run, tracking your time, distance, calories burned, etc. The online interface is really cool too. Best $30 I've ever spent. You don't have to buy the Nike shoes, you can find cheap clips or straps that work on any shoe for $5-10 dollars.

Re: Official iPod Thread
I think, but not sure, it only works with the Nano. Maybe someone else could more definitively answer. I'd definitely recommend a Nano over a Video iPod if you plan to use your iPod while moving though, such as exercising.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Official iPod Thread
So here is the story, I was playing softball on monday slide to field a ball and when I landed it was on my ipod. The screen busted, I tried to see if it would still play music but it would not. So I opened it up just to see what was going on. Anyway I got it in August, dont have a receipt, and I was wondering if I could still send it to Apple or whatever for the one year warranty?
Or does not having a proof of purchase and it has been opened void the warranty?Comment

Re: Official iPod Thread
I think you're out of luck. No receipt and popping open your iPod... well that's not good; there's no way for you to verify that you bought your iPod within the last year, and even if you did have the receipt, you've just voided your warranty by opening the thing. Might be better to look for a repair shop that does this type of thing.Comment

Re: Official iPod Thread
Yeah I bought a new one the next day but figured I would see if I could get a free ipod out of the deal. But I called Apple and when I told them how it broke they said they wouldnt fix it. This makes three Ipods in less than a year.Comment
