Injustice is next on my list. I would buy it digitally but I like turning pages. Hear/read nothing but praise for the series though.

I tried the first issue one day and minutes later was downloading the torrent, read the entire 'first year' in one sitting and then ordered a physical copy. .... And I'm not even a big DC guy.

Injustice is a real special book. When I think about something like the Marvel Ultimate universe and then I think of books like Injustice or even Multiversity....it really shows me how over saturated Marvel is.

IMO Injustice takes something like the Ultimate universe and compacts it into one book, with pretty much game changing events every other book or every volume at least.

Skimming solicits (a ton out for Secret Wars and Convergence) i really hope the Wildstorm character appearances in Convergence are more than a gimmick and have some meaningful role in the new universe that remains.

GLMK is a great book! I know people often talk smack about Claremont's florid writing style but he really nailed it in this one. If you want to give someone material that shows what the X-Men are all about you can't do worse than to give them this OGN.

Yes it was a good read. Really wish X2 would of been written more around this story line.

Maybe since they recanted the movies they'll retouch on this story line.

Either way this book made me remember why I loved XMen growing up.

Comic of the Week: Batman and Robin #39

The book has become more fun again with the Bruce/Damian relationship being exploited again. Damian's new found superpowers are becoming more of a plot point as Bruce tries to temper his use of it. On the other hand the book has now introduced the Justice League into its pages and hoo boy! Damian's interactions in the Satellite this issue was GREAT!

Very solid issue and Peter J. Tomasi may have given us a new wrinkle for Damian that we didn't want or expect but he's handling it with aplomb and much like his run on this book it's been very smartly and well written.

                      Re: Comic Book Fans....

No comic of the week from me as I only read 2, i did enjoy them both though.

Injustice is thundering towards a year 3 conclusion, been interesting with the focus on the magical side of things since not being a DC guy these are characters pretty far removed from any DC books I do occasionally buy (Constantine, Dr. Fate, etc).

I picked up Legendary Star Lord at lunch today, only because of the current event... The Black Vortex. Overall I like the event, we're seeing some characters get cosmicly over-powered and corrupted it seems by this new greater knowledge and power as other more genuinely evil actors threaten our heroes. With Secret Wars approaching it's hard to get invested in the event as it feels kinda throw-away, as all events are to me if they don't have the potential for any lasting consequences.

That's it. Meant to pick up Silk #1 and give the Spider-verse another go... read the finale to the Spider event earlier this week and it somewhat made a little bit of sense, a lot going on and looks like the event was an OK read. Some casualties, but nobody I'll miss.

I'm enjoying reading solicits more than any current titles aside from injustice. Wetworks vs Superman/Batman? Old Man Logan traversing the many worlds represented in Battleworld? Some fun stuff coming up.

Probably try Spider-Gwen when it hits, and Spider-Man 2099 "returns home to find his future... imperfect!" sounds kinda interesting (with Future Imperfect Hulk on the cover)

I feel the same way as you about The Black Vortex event. I'm not the biggest fan of the cosmic stuff but I think overall, when you have X-Characters involved it makes for a better read to me. I like how it seems The Black Vortex is a means to corruption more than anything else but it just plays off as just another Phoenix style entity except it's encased in an inanimate object. I'm also having the same issue as you with the feeling that this is all throw-away crap until the big reboot or whatever.

Just a question: Is the Old Man Logan traversing Battle World stuff going to be a separate book? I'd definitely read that offshoot for sure based on that.

                          Yup. http://www.mstarz.com/articles/53987...ecret-wars.htm

Most of the different worlds during Secret Wars are getting a miniseries during the event I believe, it's teased that this Logan is one of the most affected and traverses the universes that are not his own.

I may have asked this before, but what is the best order to read Grant Morrison's Batman run?

Also, is there any way to get monthly's shipped directly to your house?
