STi's I don't mind so much (talking WRX's right?), the true STI's are a rarity here. It's the Netuered WRX's that have the aftermarket cheap exhaust and the glued on STI badging that make me laugh.

Yeah... the WRX STi is pretty nice... AWD... 300 hp stock... I just don't like the '06 redesign though.

And OMG... I didn't realize people bought the STI badging and stuck it on there.... lmao +10 hp!

I was thinking of going turbo, but I've always been N/A! If I do get a second car, it's probably going to be a TL... I love that 4 door...

Or maybe an EVO....

My 2nd car right now is a 2005 Xterra (for Surfing, Skiing, general all-purpose abuse). I am going to hold on to the Z for a couple more years, and depending on how my real estate endeavors go, will grab one of the Skyline GT-R's in 08 or go the Porsche Cayman S route in '08.

Or if my ventures fail miserably, I will be buying Acid's Civic off of him.

Not even close.

Gonna be badge Nissan. Built on the VQ engine, but twin turbo, 450 HP AWD, is the rumor. Plus obviously upgraded suspension, exhaust, brakes, interior etc.

For the Japanese cars, I'll take Nissan any day of the week. Best bang for the buck, generally better features.

There is no car out there that provides a better combination of looks, performance, features and reliability for the dollar than the Z. And that can be said for the Z for the most part since it's inception 30+ years ago.

Just my opinion of course.

There is no car out there that provides a better combination of looks, performance, features and reliability for the dollar than the Z. And that can be said for the Z for the most part since it's inception 30+ years ago.

Just my opinion of course.

Nissan is awesome, look at how many cool 240 sx cars are out and probably the best drift cars out and its very cheap for a project car. The skyline is too crazy...hopefully you get one, its on my list!

I saw a really nicely done 240sx the other day. And you're right, from what I have heard they are kick *** drift cars.

I hope on the Skyline. We'll just see how far this real estate project stuff takes me.

I enjoyed the first two movies. I didn't expect them to be more than they were though either. I enjoyed seeing the tweaked out cars and there is no denying the first started a craze of car modification; for better, and worse.

Civics, Preludes, Integras, can all be modified well. They can also be modified poorly. A nice modded car, regardless of make/model, is unique and enjoyable to behold.

Regarding the movies. They were never driven by plot or acting. They were driven by racing cars and being trendy. They were also successful on that level. To me popular movies are like popular fiction. One doesn't realistically put The Da Vinci Code on the same level as one of Ian McEwan's or Philip Roth's novels, but it is likely just as, or perhaps more, enjoyable to read. The Fast and the Furious movies are like The Da Vinci Code, in that they are enjoyable to experience, but not much more than that.

It's nice to see the Nissan Z as one of the featured cars in the movie, and I'll always appreciate watching nice looking cars driving fast/dangerously. The plot will be corny, and the characters will be thinly represented, but neither will be vital to the movie's success.

Good post. That's sort of my take on the movies... I just didn't really know how to interpret my train of thought into text.

Just the Z and the Xterra.

Had to cut some budget to use for capital on some new ventures. I am trying to get out of IT, and make a complete living developing spec houses. Like I said, if I fail misesrably on this venture, I'll be buying Acid's Civic, or riding the bus.

I really liked the first,second was ok but this one seems to be an Initial D rip off.

That's cool. The 350z is probably the first two door I've actually liked from Nissan... (USDM)

For all the knock on the movie, I really like the 350z they have as the main car in the flick...
