I live in PA, work in NJ, and have been following this story. You should hear some of the arguments from people who are literally scared to death to pump their own gas. "What if we can't do it?" "What if something explodes?" "What if we don't know how to follow the instructions on the screen?" Truly pitiful.

Plus, it's not like the full serve sections of these gas stations would just vanish or anything. There would just be the added convenience of being able to pump your own gas.

I've pumped my own gas, and I worked at a gas station, it's freaking easy to pump gas. Anyway, still better to have someone else do it. It is pure lazyness.

EDIT: I thought of an excuse........ We create more jobs this way.

I travel to jersey all the time... the thing that really gets me is that I feel like I HAVE to tip the guy who pumps the gas... and I'm always made to feel like I'm doing something wrong if (pump my own gas).

It's bad enough gas is $2.87/gal reg. in Jersey (although much cheaper than NYC)... but to have to tip ON TOP of it? DAMN...

That annoys me.

I went to school with a kid from NJ and the first time he pumped gas he spilled it all over himself. It was the middle of the winter and we had to drive with the windows open for like 2 hours afterwards.

whats this full service gas service? living out west makes me feel like im living in the middle ages. Open Gas lid, insert pump, start up. wait til it clicks off. how hard could it be? my god.

It's easy. You sit in your car, tell the guy how much or fill 'er up. Then you wait in your car, listen to the radio, just chill. Then pay, and your off. It's not that we are lazy, it'ss that it creates jobs. Ok I give up, we are lazy.

It's so funny, I am always amazed when I visit my friends in Jersey and they are all full service stations. They are right, my friends are literally scared to pump their own gas.

The Oil Companies seem to be a great danger to destablizing the country more than illeagals at this point.
