Re: Nj says no to pumping gas
Wow. I had no idea this law existed anywhere in the U.S. I would feel really weird having someone pump my gas. I would feel like an invalid or something. I mean I can understand if you're a woman, or really, really old, but a man's got to pump his own gas. If I went to Jersey or Oregon I would tip the guy to let ME pump the gas myself.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

First, you lock your door. Then, when your tank is full....it stops pumping automatically.Originally posted by RubenDouglasgas stations around here make the most money off of their snacks and soda sales. I stand right next to my car while I am pumping gas.Originally posted by RubenDouglasgas stations around here make the most money off of their snacks and soda sales. If you want a snack, go inside, buy your snack and pay for your gas instead of paying at the ATM. Then after that, come outside and pump your gas. No way do I leave my car unattended while pumping gas. That would be silly.Last edited by Blaxican8504; 05-17-2006, 11:13 PM.Comment

Originally posted by camulosI went to school with a kid from NJ and the first time he pumped gas he spilled it all over himself. It was the middle of the winter and we had to drive with the windows open for like 2 hours afterwards.
Wow, you're friend isn't too bright I take it? Even if he's never had to pump his own gas, its not like its something you have to be taught. I've always pumped my own gas and never had anyone show me how its done. A full-serve station opened up down the street from me that eventually changed to either a self-serve or some kind of hybrid type thing. I never went there because I didn't want to have to tip the guy who pumped my gas, I'd rather do it myself. It takes 2 seconds.
And if you want a snack or soda or something, you pump your gas first then go get whatever you want. If the gas station is crowded you move your vehicle out of the way, then go inside. Pretty simple stuff.Comment

Re: Nj says no to pumping gas
Lol I never knew anything about this. So shouldn't there be laws to protect people from New Jersey when they travel out of state and have to pump their own gas? Shouldn't there be laws protecting people who have to pump gas at the same time as New Jersians (Have no idea if that's a word or not)? This obviously should be a bigger issue.Comment
