Yeah, it makes sense. We just disagree. I think we understand each other.

I honestly don't have any definitive argument to say your opinion is wrong.

lol i might have to go back to the other suit

Good article about WB tapping into more DC properties, as well as stating...
When it comes to Batman, the future of the franchise is in Christopher Nolan's hands. That's what a successful reboot with "Batman Begins" and breaking records with "The Dark Knight" will do.

There's a deal for the director to helm a third pic, but he has yet to decide on whether to tackle it yet.

"We have no idea where Chris is going with this," Horn says. "We haven't had any conversations with him about it."

I kinda hope Nolan doesn't make another Batman because I don't want him to slip. It will be extremely difficult to live up to The Dark Knight and even Batman Begins

For a sequel it would be nice if they really went minimal with the villians.

They sort of went that way with the Joker, Scarecrow and Ras Al Goul. What would really be interesting is if say they have the Catwoman in the next movie, does she really have to be in a cat suit. Would it be acceptible for her to just be a top tier Burglar like Toleur' in Oceans Twelve and wear a regular dark ninja type stalker suit.

Another example, does the Penguin really have to be walking around with a top hat and cane.

Or couldn't Poison Ivy just be a chemical warfare terrorist, who uses her a green hasmat suit and or mask.

I would be kind of dissapointed if I see CatWoman in a skin tight shiny leather jump suit or Ivy in a painted on green outfit.

It'd take away from the brilliance of the first two movies... but I wouldn't be disappointed.

I doubt we'll ever see Posion Ivy anyway, so that's not a problem.

As for Catwoman...I wouldn't want to see some shiny outfit, but I would also not want to see her in a simple ninja-suit. If they want a female in a Ninja suit, use Talia. Catwoman needs to look like Catwoman, so a Nolan-esque twist on the Catwoman suit (like the new Batman suit) would be perfect for me.

I do see what he's saying though. Is the story behind catwoman that of Halle Berry's flop, where she has enhanced senses like a cat? If so, it'd make sense that she go through the trouble to make a cat-like suit just to rob people. But, that wouldn't follow the current trend of everyone being simply humans with a slight stretch on their realistic capabilities (2face walking around with half his face missing). If she's just a woman that steals stuff, it'd be hard to explain why she went through so much trouble to dress like a cat. Maybe they go through her background like they did Wayne's in Batman Beyond, and there's some logic to wanting to actually look like a cat but it seems like a stretch.

The Joker worked b/c he wanted people to know who he was... catwoman would be trying to hide as much as possible.

Oh, I definitely see what he is saying...

I just think if you want a female villain in a ninja suit, go with Talia because you can have the revenge angle working, while still having Batman trying to regain the city's faith as the main story.

If you want Catwoman, she has to at the least, resemble a cat in some way. If not...it's not Selina Kyle, it's just a female robber, in my opinion.

Well she would be a cat burglar, sneaking in very wealthy places doing high society crimes. Not neccesarily doing it for money but the thrill. Sort of like both versions of the Thomas Crown affair (The one with Steve McQueen and Pierce Brosnan), rich well to do socialite steals for sport. Thus cat woman, I don't know.

I just don't see how you can maintain the "realistic" feel of the new batman movies and call this person catwoman. Like I said, the joker wanted to be seen and known. Having that persona makes perfect sense. Having a name doesn't make sense for catwoman unless someone else gives it to her... there'd need to be a reason for the public/police/batman to give her the name and I can't see it without the outfit. Then, if she does have the outfit it kills the realistic style also.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say in response.

Catwoman can't be Catwoman without the suit. The police, the media, Batman, the public...no one would call her Catwoman unless she looked like a Cat, and if she looks like a cat she wouldn't be in Nolan's universe.

My rebuttle to that would be, Scarecrow in the comics and cartoons looked like Scarecrow. In Batman Begins he did not have to actually dress up to look like a Scarecrow to be Scarecrow.

Ras Al Goul did not have his Lazerous chamber and they were still able to throw in the idea of a man or "many men" being Ras for several generations.

The suit does not make the man or in this case the Catwoman. My whole point is can they still have Catwoman but not with an over the top cat suit.

If any thing maybe she copies Batman and has the pointy ear thing but not the memory cloth glider and it alone looks like a cat.
