For the small amount of screen-time Raz got, I liked the portrayal and the set-up in Batman Begins. I think he could be done better if he was really the major villain in the film, but for what Batman Begins went for, I thought Raz was great.

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
You do realize who the real Ra's was don't you? (Hint: watch the scene where Bruce's birthday party gets interrupted by Ducard again)
I'm not by any means trying to be rude, but once you figure this out you'll realize they did Ra's al Ghoul perfectly:wink:Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
Trust me, he knows who Ra's is in the movie. Everyone who has seen the movie knows who he is.
And, in that case, they still didn't do it "perfectly" because there is much more to Ra's than they were allowed time for. The League, the Pits and their effects, his daughter etc.
While they didn't do it perfectly, they did do a good enough job with the little time Ra's got in the movie.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
No I probably shouldn't have used the word "perfectly". I don't blame Nolan for leaving out the Lazarus Pits and such, as it would have taken the movie out of the reality base that it was going for. I know they changed his character, but in my mind he was perfect as Bruce's mentor and the first threat to Gotham under Batman's watch.Trust me, he knows who Ra's is in the movie. Everyone who has seen the movie knows who he is.

I could see people wanting his character approached more like the comics (he was always my favorite villain in Batman: TAS), but I almost liked the idea of Ra's al Ghoul being a title for the leader more than an immortal.
And I'm sorry guys if I was playing Captain Obvious, but the people I saw Begins with actually were complaining after the movie that "Ra's died in the very beginning" (how they missed that I don't know
) so I wasn't sure.
Oh and has anyone else actually been listening to the Batman Begins soundtrack because this movie is on their mind constantly? *raises hand*Comment
