What I think I like most about these new Batman films is how realistic they seem to be. I remember walking out of the first Batman in theaters and thinking, dam, someone could actually become Batman in New York City

I agree with BoSox about how well Nolan & co. portrayed the Bruce and Ras relationship; that aspect of Ras has always been my favorite part of his character. If they go on to do more movies after the third, I would like to see them bring back Ras somehow with Talia.

What's with the best superhero movie of the last 10 years garbage. Knowing the way Nolan fleshes out the human psyche in his previous movies this movie will easily be the greatest superhero movie of all time if it's as dark and foreboding as I expect. Begins had much more depth than any other superhero movie previously made and now that Nolan doesn't have to bother with the origin of Batman the sky's the limit.

What movie could challenge it? The original Superman, Spiderman 2, Xmen 2? While all these are great movies they have as much depth as a ham sandwich and are pretty much just follow the comic book formula without taking it to any new direction.

I plan on hanging myself in the theater if it sucks. If you see feet swinging beside your head in hour 2 that could just be me.

I have no worries about it sucking. I am a huge fan of Nolan and he has yet to make a movie that is even close to average. In my book all his movies have been steller. The guy is the best director in Hollywood right now and Batman is the type of tortured character that is tailor made for Nolan to take on. I jumped for joy when I first heard he was directing a Batman movie with Bale as the lead. My favorite actor and director and my favorite superhero, it doesn't get any better than that but even Begins exceeded my expectations.

This movie will be a masterpeice and if the buzz is right it may even cop an posthumous Oscar for Ledger which would be unheard of in comic book movies.
