Going to follow AVS closely with this one and see if they figure out whether BB and TDK are re-masters. If not, I'll be fine with TDKR separately, pretty as that thing looks.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
I am disappoint. Amazon has it listed the same day as TDKR for the time being.
Blzer, I think you're talking about the "ultimate" collection. Not sure what is included in that one compared to the one being released this year.

Heath's father, Kim, reads through his Joker journal.
Of the many comic book movie villains we've seen paraded across the big screen in the past 15 years, one of the most memorable has been Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight. The young actor made the classic character entirely his own, imbuing him with an oddly charismatic menace that's been impossible to forget.…

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
My own Facebook posts from past years reminded me that The Dark Knight released ten years ago today.
When this first came out I said this would be one of the most influential films of today. I don't think I was wrong by that one bit.
EDIT: Upon checking to see if sites are talking about this, I found out that it will have a 70mm IMAX re-release in four theaters:
Christopher Nolan's 2008 superhero sequel "The Dark Knight" will be re-released in theaters for the film's 10th anniversary.
Warner Bros. Pictures has set Christopher Nolan’s 2008 superhero sequel “The Dark Knight” for a re-release in four select Imax theaters to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary, Variety has learned.
Venues in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Toronto will host the film for a limited one-week engagement beginning Friday, Aug. 24.
Nolan and Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister pioneered the use of Imax 70mm photography in feature filmmaking on the production, marking “The Dark Knight” as the first major feature to utilize Imax cameras. Nolan had previously tested the possibilities of the format’s massive scale and increased resolution with an Imax digital remastering of “Batman Begins.”
In the years since, movies such as “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” “Star Trek Into Darkness” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” have followed suit, not to mention Nolan’s own “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Interstellar” and “Dunkirk.” Damien Chazelle’s “First Man” and Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 1984” are among upcoming releases continuing in their wake.
Tickets for opening day of the “Dark Knight” Imax 70mm re-release go on sale this Friday, July 20 for the following venues:
AMC Universal Citywalk Imax, Universal City
AMC Lincoln Square Imax, New York
AMC Metreon Imax, San Francisco
Ontario Place Cinesphere Imax, Toronto
Released July 18, 2008, “The Dark Knight” became, at the time, just the fourth film to ever cross the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. It scored north of $533 million stateside and still sits in the all-time domestic top 10. The film was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won two, including a posthumous supporting actor Oscar for Heath Ledger’s memorable performance as the Joker.Last edited by Blzer; 07-18-2018, 11:24 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
