Took my daughter to see it today and wow, to me it waseasily the worse Pixar Movie. Hardly any funny parts, pretty boring...the best part was at the end when their all at the drive in. First time I didnt like a Pixar movie. I was very disapointed . My daughter didnt care for it either.

I'll wait for the DVD then. My Summer movie list is quickly dwindling down to nothing.

Loved this movie. Well done. Well acted. Beautiful animation. Funny. Cute. Classic.

I'm probably gonna see this next weekend...my parents watched it last thursday (somehow got early sneak preview tix), and they thought it was great. My mom said it was around 2 hours long, so long for a computer animated feature. Looking forward to another good Pixar effort.

Everyone has their opinion, I personally thought "Finding Nemo" was overrated, but I thought this movie was well done.

I see myself liking this movie more than Nemo. Nemo was good, but it is behind The Incredibles (my favorite of the Pixars), Monster Inc, and the Toy Stories. I originally thought I would wait till DVD, but I might go see this tomorrow night.

Yes sir..what helps make the world go round. Like I said I didnt care a whole lot for it. Not an awful movie and the animation and voice acting was pretty damn good...it just bored me.

I think i'll go see it tomorrow. It sounds like a more serious animation movie and since it's long (at 2 hrs) it should be able to tell a great story.

Re: Anyone going to see CARS?

Well I got back from seeing it a second time, this time with my wife and son (again!) and have to revise my list.

                          1. The Incredibles
                          2. Finding Nemo (the whole father/son dynamic gets me every time)
                          3. Cars
                          4. Monsters, Inc.
                          5. Toy Story 2
                          6. A Bugs Life
                          7. Toy Story

The heart of 'Cars' is just undeniable. While I'm not a NASCAR or race fan (never have been), don't live in the South (and such, lines like "I'm happier than a tornado in a trailer park" go right over my head), and I'm neither a car junkie or redneck...the movie is just amazing! Pixar just has that knack for storytelling, even if the ending is predictable, coupled with the slight delay in getting to the point where the story "grabs" you.

I have to applaud Pixar again for proving why they are the best when it comes to animation. The number of CG clones that are in the pipeline is staggering, and it's a shame that none (save the "Shrek" series or the upcoming Aardman flick) can even hope to compare. The visuals are amazing by the way, even if it's old hat to say. The fact that at times it stops looking CG and starts looking like toys or real life objects is astounding, not to mention the instances of landscape photo-realism.

I was just talking about the movie with my cousin today. He just saw it and I saw it on Friday. Basically, we decided that the plot of the movie is relatively cliche, but the way they tell the story is simply outstanding. I really loved this movie.

I had the same problem the first time, since my son was getting restless and moving around a lot. Luckily my wife was able to take the brunt of the distractions (plus he was a bit tired) so I was able to pick up the subtleties. I just hate that movie tickets are eight bucks plus now! What's worse is I'm finally getting the guilt pangs when I attempt to use my now out-of-state three year old college student ID
