I have no problem with you guys bashing my comments but again, like I spoke about in another movie, it's not about what's not real, it's about the stuff that is real and I was referring to the military stuff--the way that the vehicles operate, some of the procedures, etc. I'm in the military and I went to a theater that was near a military installation and you could hear others talking about the same items I spoke of...but I apologize for not jumping on the bandwagon of this mediocre movie. The special effects were great and so was Shia. I guess I forgot that when you don't agree with the masses here at OS, you have to expect these types of quotes/replies...

I don't think anybody was expecting a realistic take on the military and their procedures. I'm sure all viewers over the age of 16 or so would have enough sense to figure out that the military's role in the movie wasn't realistic.

The movie was filmed at Holloman AFB NM and SUPPOSEDLY they were advised on matters in both areas. But, if you don't know (ignorance), anything is acceptable. So, I'm glad you enjoyed the movie...I did not. Is that okay with you?

To be honest you have no idea how protocols and situational assessments would occur if GIANT ALIEN ROBOTS THAT TRANSFORMED CAME TO EARTH. I hope to God we have not spent money on preparing contigency plans in case of this happening.

I really could care less if you liked the movie or not, but criticizing a clearly fictional movie over how the military operates in a clearly fictional situation within the film is kind of pointless to me. Its about the same as criticizing how the Gotham City PD operates in a Batman movie or how oil riggers are portrayed in Armageddon.

Fresh Tendrills, if you don't care whether or not I like the movie, then why are you still talking about it? I was just voicing my opinion on one of the reasons I did not enjoy the movie, that is all. I didn't criticize ANYONE ELSE'S critique, I just stated mine. Anyway, this is my last bit on this because this is going way off the subject of this thread and I apologize to everyone including you Tendrills. But, I've noticed that everybody who's had the smart comments for me are some "youngins". It's cool. Y'all don't have anything else to do but this so I understand. When I saw the movie and UAVs/F-22s/A-10s aren't doing what they're capable of with the wrong HUDs and the wrong ordnances as well as a base allowing an unidentified aircraft to land ANYWHERE near the base, let alone in its airspace, it bothers me. And, none of this has to do with any robots although it's in a movie with some in it. Sometimes I just know a little too much and it ruins watching movies for me sometimes...ignorance is bliss...

Understandable, since that part made me wonder and bothered me a little bit, but with a movie like this you just have to let go of everything to do with reality and common sense.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Saw the movie this afternoon, and to be honest, I was floored! I was so amped for this movie that I thought I had ruined it, but damn, this movie was awesome. I can easily say that i've never been that excited while watching a movie. I couldnt believe it was over, it went so quickly.

My son enjoyed it, but he had so many questions, and I was like "we'll buy it when it comes out and i'll explain it then." I felt bad, but I didnt wanna miss anything.

The kicker came when my fiance said after the halfway point, "we're getting his the day it releases on DVD!" Yeah, it was that good.

And about the computer geeks and the sector 7 people, I thought they added to the telling of the story for those that didnt know the backstory the way those that watched it in the '80s did, but I dont know. I need to see it again. I dont know, may go next weekend or something.

I loved it, I am kinda glad that they altered starscreams voice for this movie. That high pitched voice from the cartoons would've been hard on the ears. But what a great movie, best movie I have seen in years.

Also I didn't think they would have adpated Megatron into a plane with him being a gun if my memory serves me correctly. The movie had him bigger than Optimus, but it was still a wonderful movie experience.

I can't wait till it comes out on HD DVD. I'm sure its its going to be right before Christmas and Transformers will be the toy of the season at that time too. I can't wait to get some of my nephews some of their first Transformers.
