That way the stupid kids that work at fast food places could get you your change quicker and not screw it up.

Does anyone know how many pennys they make a day?? You would think that after all these years that .4 extra that it costs to make a penny would subtract a lot of money out of the govt. Personally I don't think it would be a bad idea to get rid of pennys, their ugly and once and awhile you come across a penny that is so disgusting looking that you just want to put it in a tub of CLR to sterilize it.

Why don't we just go back to the barter system? So like when we go to buy Madden we'd give EBGames a guinea pig, 24 hamsters and a head of week old lettuce instead of $60.

Seems stupid to get rid of the penny. Everything would have to be rounded off to numbers divisible by 5.

yeah and you just know that the govt and the companies would always round up to make more money so we'd all end up paying more for everything we do. bad idea IMO. pennies are worth saving unless we have a 2 cent and lower it's round down and 3 cent and higher we round up which the idiots of the world would find way too confusing. even then we'd be paying more though..

Doubtful. They'll still screw it up. I love the "deer in the headlights" look when your bill is say $4.12 and you give them $10.27 so you don't get any pennies back....... count, Skippy, count!
