Depends on how old he is. When I was in 5th grade my school started to replace all Apple IIe's with Macs. We all thought it was awesome playing Odell Lake and Oregon Trail in color. I think it even had a CD-ROM drive on it and my teacher let me play some Aerosmith one day. And then halfway through the year we got a color ribbon for the printer. The whole fifth grade had to share one color ribbon (which was about 5 classrooms). And it took a good 45 minutes to print 20 pages. Fifth grade was awesome.

My dad had one of those that you had to carry in both hands, a Texas Instrament. Electric football, All-Star Baseball with the cards and spin the wheel, talking football with the mini disks, photo electric footballl, and of course Sears TV Pong. Those were the days.

I remember that All-Star Baseball thing with the cards....man that thing was FUN!

That is, of course, if you and I are talking about the same thing.

Yeah, I think so. The cards were circular in nature , with different numbers attached to HR's, triples, doubles, outs, etc..... The lines with the numbers were wide if the person was a HR hitter, like Willie McCovey and slim for a Glen Beckert. Spin the wheel and see where it lands.

Oregon trail was awesome, but i remembered playing a lot of air hockey against monsters also math munchers. And remember those old *** printers where you have the rip off the sides of the paper, alot of companie still use it to print out receipts.

Tecmo Superbowl, Little League Baseball, Bases Loaded, King's Quest, the Police Quest games were all great. I remember I played every single regular season and playoff game one year in Tecmo Superbowl.

man, i am kicking myself today.. i can remember when i was young I had this Star Trek game - sorta like a table top game, where you would move a joystick & "shoot" the other ships.. it was great stuff & had friends over playing it before getting the bus for school... of course after years it had been thrown out.. looking at the price today for the collectible, I woulda had some nice $$$

                              oh well...

i also miss playing the board games like Strat O Matic & Pursue the Pennant

For all you lovers of oregon trail I present to you the link to the original game (1990) version as well as the newer version (1992). I just installed the new one on my computer. Crazy memories. Just follow the directions.

Information on the various types of dogs. The top breeds, including Labradors, german sheperds, Spaniels, Terriers, Beagles, Boxers and many more.

Edit: just checked it doesn't look like the old version works but the new one works just fine.

LOL another edit: I found a link to the original http://solidsharkey.com/oregon.html
