For all the non west coast people, you guys can talk spoilers all you want. I for one never go into a show thread until I watch the episode.

As far as Desmond working for the others, I think that is false. Why were the Others surprised when they found out they had a boat; Desmonds boat.

If it had been any other character, I would agree with you, but with Locke it makes perfect sense. He's always been more in-tune with the Island than everyone else, and he has always seemed to be connected with everything going on.(See: Claire's nightmare where Locke is the one attacking her baby and his eyes are completely black, the whole hatch episode, Boone's death, finding most of the 'secrets' of the island, etc.)

Had Sawyer or Jack been like "I need to talk to the island" then yeah, that'd be stupid, but Locke and the Island have been connected throughout all three seasons, one of the few things that has remained constant in every season.

Jeez, settle down, all he said was that he disagreed and that it was a crappy theory, you wouldnt last long with my friends at all.

No, I think she's in love with Jack.

And I think that's actually who they are asking her about next week, not Sawyer.

Thats just one scenario. I've watched every episode from day 1 and there are just way to many new things introduced and the old things recieve simple, non-informative explainations. Would it be so hard as to show what exactly happened from time to time? Instead, we're constantly left guessing and these theories go from one thing to the next. I honestly feel there is no real theory and the writers have just dug themselves in a deep hole that ultimately will make no sense once the truth is revealed. I understand that the show needs to be prolonged for up to 5 seasons or whatever but I dont think I can stick around and feel more and more anxious and anticipating answers as the weeks progress only to be let down constantly.

I think the coupling on the show will end up being Kate and Sawyer, and Jack and Juliet. Kate and Sawyer both like to live outside the law, so they work well together. And Jack and Juliet will find redemption in each other, I think. Both of them seem discontent with what their lives have become.

As for Desmond....did anyone else think of the Terminator movies when he woke up naked in the jungle after being blown out of the hatch? Why did his clothes get blown off, but nobody else's? Some form of time travel, perhaps? It also appears that he's psychic now - or at least that the three people who were inside the hatch when it blew now share some kind of mental bond with each other. Eko knowing that Locke would find the others, Locke knowing where Eko was, Desmond knowing that Locke would give his speech....etc.

Also, I'd really like to go back and watch the airport flashback. I think the roles and states we see people in, and Boone's words to Locke as he's watching everyone interact, probably tells us a lot about what's going on. Ben/Henry as baggage checker, Sayid standing with Jin and Sun, Hurley as ticket counter worker, Desmond as pilot, and Jack, Kate and Sawyer all standing in the line waiting to be wanded by Ben/Henry, with Jack standing at a different spot in line from Kate and Sawyer.

I need to go back and watch that scene again.

You are on to something I believe.

That scene probably had a lot to do with the show. Ben patting down Jack struck me odd, so did Hurley as the ticket taker. Desmond being the pilot though, that to me was the key. Desmond is going to the one that ties this together.

I'm on the time traveling or seeing future thing. Everyone else was there when Locke gave the speech, obviously Desmond had heard/seen it already, so he was skipping rocks (looking demonic by the way).

Note also that Hurley was entering the numbers into the computer at the airport. I also noticed that Jack had been wanded by Ben and was through the security check, while Kate and Sawyer were still back in line waiting to be wanded. Maybe the Others have already determined that Jack is a soul worth saving and they're not too sure about Kate and Sawyer yet? Which explains why the Others interact directly with Jack and attempt to break him down mentally, as opposed to Kate and Sawyer whom they just keep in cages and force to do manual labor.

I agree that Desmond as pilot is the takeaway from that scene. It's also worth noting that he looks more than a little like Jesus these days. Desmond, freed from his hatch-prison by the crash survivors, will now free the crash survivors from their island-prison by, in essence, piloting the plane that leaves the island.

How he does that, however, is anyone's guess. But I think Desmond clearly has some sort of superpower(s) following the hatch implosion.

Think it's something else worth mentioning the white glow around the entire scene? Could it be the dream sequence or did it have another meaning?

So, if Jack is passing through, where's he going? He's getting on the plane first with that, correct. Only other on the plane is Desmond.

I think every character was shown but Ecko, am I correct in that? I only saw it the one time, but don't remember seeing him in that "flash forward/dream"

Correct, no Mr. Eko. But remember that Locke found his stick and the blood at the top of the escalator.

As good as the show is, most of the fun is trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

No kidding. "Too mythologically dense," my butt. Make it more mythologically dense!

It's going to be very, very interesting when the payoff is finally revealed whenever this show ends. It had better be damn amazing, or there are going to be a lot of angry people in the world. Me, hell, the journey is the fun part and all the speculation and theorizing is most of the fun for me. Even if the ending is a dud, it'll still have been a great ride.

Unlike, say, the last chapter in the Matrix movies....sigh.

                                - A+ episode last night. Easily the best of the season. I didn't know Locke was involved with the Hippie Lettuce. When Eddie was walking away it looked like Locke couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger. The next time you see a Locke flashback I'm sure you will see a shoot-out between Locke's crew and the police. This should explain why he couldn't walk before he got on the Island.

                                - The ratings have slipped for Lost. Compared to last season at this point, I believe they're off around 20%. Criminal Minds had more viewers last night in the same timeslot.

                                - I find it strange why they would pull Lost after 6 episodes so they can run Daybreak for 13 weeks. It would have made more sense for Lost to run through November and then take a break because November is sweeps.

                                - The end of the 6th episode should have a major cliffhanger to set-up the rest of the season. I wouldn't be shocked if they kill off a character.
