Re: ***LOST Official Season 3 Discussion**** (Contains West Coast spoilers)

I keep coming back to the fact that Penny, at the end of season 2, was called by a group of researchers who were looking for an electromagnetic abnormality in search of Desmond. How did Penny know that Desmond would wind up on an island (or anywhere) that would emit an electromagnetic pulse like that?

I keep waiting for them to tie the Widmore Corporation to either the Dharma Initiative, the Hanso Foundation....something on that island. There's no other way to explain the fact that Penny was able to search for, and find, Desmond by looking for an electromagnetic anomaly.
    Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

I was thinking the exact same thing. But I wasn't sure, because I didn't get a good look. Either way, we'll find out next week more about the tatoos and the rest of the others.

This is strictly my guess but I think he's probably told her about his flash-forwards (or whatever you wanna call em) and described what happened to her. Then because she is so in love with him and that one episode she said "If you have enough money you can find anyone" she is going to believe him and pay to look for him that way because she believed he wasn't crazy. If that makes sense.

Although I'm incredibly confused by this episode last night, so I guess this is assuming that he keeps reliving that time of his life and that it isn't just a dream or something.

On another note, if I was another person on the island, I'd be pissed the 3 dudes didn't share that whiskey with me.

That was my guess as well. He's told her about the island before and what's going to happen.

How could that be, when he walks away from her on the bench he sees Penny a few minutes later.

I guess if both Penny and Desmond are reliving their lives it could be, but I don't know why Penny would have aged so much and not Desmond. Remember, Desmond was all cut/bruised up and had a beard when the hatch blew, but when he was back in England he was clean cut and healthy. I'm not sure how Penny could be different.

So whose travelling in time...Desmond or Penny?

I'm still thinking the white haired chick asking about Jack's tats is the jeweller with Desmond, just made to look different.

This is all a guess though.
