I thought the leader of the Dharma group was the guy who tried to recruit the blonde girl. No?"Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Yeah, I still believe that even though Jack found the casket, he's still alive. There's just too many theorys out there to make me think that he is alive and might be one of the others (maybe the leader?).Comment

I really think its going to end up being a mountain out of a mole hill type of thing with Jack having a catch with Tom. They seemed to have a decent chemistry with one another in the operating room.. and its very possbile that Jack just wanted to get outside and have some fun for a change... so they decided to have a catch.Last edited by aholbert32; 03-15-2007, 11:42 AM.Comment

the "other" that was playing catch with Jack looked completely awkward throwing that ball... saying he "throws like a girl" is an insult to girls.Comment

What a great episode!
Jack and Claire being siblings theory? Check. It was interesting when Mikhail mentioned the list, especially when he was able to reveal that he knew Locke before, albeit he was cut-short. Jack's scene at the end was gold, and it definitely opens up the whole Jacob/Leader of the Others theory. Is he still playing them or has he converted? Either way, the rest of the seasons looks exciting!Comment

i don't understand how all these things combine to suggest jack's dad is alive. jack ID'ed his body. i believe it was confirmed by a hospital. jack's dad might be a central figure in many of the losties' lives, but he's dead.Comment

One problem with this theory. There is no way the others would bring him back to the main island if they were just letting Jack get some fresh air. They would just let him roam around the second island. Also, Jack looked a little too happy to just get a short break. I think he's cool with the Others now.Comment

I've thought since the beginning that one of the main survivors was an Other. Last night suggested Jack was, but I'm not sold on that yet. Has he been transformed to an Other? Has he been one all along? Since we know the Others can leave the island we know his flashbacks throughout the first two seasons can still make sense."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: ***LOST Official Season 3 Discussion**** (Contains West Coast spoilers)
I can't agree with Jack having been an Other. He wouldn't have done or gone through everything he went through if he were an Other.
I also struggle with Jack's character because I'm constantly reminding myself that he was meant to be killed off in the first episode. I understand his character was kept for a reason (outside of the writers liking Mattew Fox), but I also understand that the entire show was planned out before the first episode was written.
Now, Jack could easily slide into the plot and fit right in and I'm sure he does because why else would they keep him? But, to make him the leader seems like something that would have been planned when planning the entire series.
I think Jack has accepted the Others and I think it's because they finally told him who they are and why they are there. Whatever that reason might be, I think Jack agrees with the overall mission and goal of the community."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Im stoked for next week as I think its gonna be an all locke episode. I think hes real pissed about not being on the list. Since the beginning of the show most of Locke's flashbacks have been about people accepting him. Remeber the scene with Ben in the hatch? Was ben telling the truth or lying to Locke about coming to get him."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment
