Don't know what you're talking about but all I heard was tray tables shaking and overhead luggage shifting.Listen to some of my covers:

At 1:30 left you hear the Smoke Monster when the plane crashes.
But, I didn't realize when I posted that the plane crash scene you hear it in is from "Tale of Two Cities".
Still, the monster basically screams out as the plane crashes onto the water and island. Just listen and watch the clip."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I don't know... I think may just be the tail end of the plane hitting the water making that noise not the Smoke Monster but it's very possible. Good catch.http://flotn.blogspot.com

Re: ***LOST Official Season 3 Discussion**** (Contains West Coast spoilers)
Well, I did ask myself if that's the plane and not the monster. I'm convinced it's the monster.
But, it did lead me to thinking about Rose's comments on how familiar the sound was to her. I didn't get anywhere because I don't know what to think, but I remembered her comments.
I'd really like to know what Rose connected the Smoke Monster's noise to."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: ***LOST Official Season 3 Discussion**** (Contains West Coast spoilers)
I happened to watch the Pilot last night. You can hear Rose saying she thought that sound was "familiar" and then someone asks where she is from. She responds, "The Bronx." Then I remembered watching something (either from the DVD or online) where the producers said they had found the noise for the monster from the cabs in New York. Rose was connecting the cab sound to the monster, something I discovered after watching it.
The only question I have is where did she see Yellow Cabs driving in the Bronx? They are only in Manhattan. Usually takes a lot of hell and money to get a Yellow Cab to go to the Bronx.
There are limo services that drive Lincoln Town Cars as a taxi but I doubt the Lost writers were thinking of those when they had Rose talk about taxis. Everyone in the world associates Yellow Cabs in New York with Taxis.
Just a strange connection. I guess I don't really have to think about it anymore, though.
Thanks."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: ***LOST Official Season 3 Discussion**** (Contains West Coast spoilers)
Finally some new Lost "material" to be unleashed this Thursday.
Cuse and Lindelof will finally break their radio silence at Comic-Con. There's going to be a Q+A and they will discuss last season's finale and Season 4. They will also show some special features from the Season 3 DVD and preview the new Lost Videogame from Ubisoft.
I'm sure this will pop up on Youtube.Comment

He is a good actor, don't get me wrong. But I never need to see him on Lost ever again.

Re: ***LOST Official Season 3 Discussion**** (Contains West Coast spoilers)
He's important to the story. I think it was vital to bring him back and the producers wouldn't have tried so hard unless they knew it would affect too much of the story to not have him involved."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
