Miami Vice
I'm really looking foward to this film. Michael Mann's one of the best directors out there.

Re: Miami Vice
I'm not interested at all but my girlfriend wants to see it so I'm gonna see it this weekend.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I was checking out Rotten Tomatoes and it seemed that the reviews were positive for the most part.
Heaps of praise for Mann. Also seems like it's going to live up to the expectation on the 'cool factor' front.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

Re: Miami Vice
Movies like these make me ill. They are nothing like the originals, dont even have the same basis, except remote details such as the names of the main characters. Heck, Miami Vice didnt even use the original logo in the movie, nor have i heard the amazing them song that I was so accustomed to growing up watching everyweek. The movie doesnt take place in the same time frame, and by the looks of it has the two cops battling against things that would never take place in the real show. Movies like this, Dukes of Hazard, Honeymooners and the like can all just suck it for all im concerned; quit trying to remake something that doesnt need to be redone in the first place. Whats next, Happy Days goes to Compton? Or how about the jeffersons staring Jeff Foxworthy?"Basketball may have been born in Massachusetts, but it grew up in Indiana." - James NaismithComment

Re: Miami Vice
What are they battling against that wasnt in the show? They are undercovers battling drug dealers in the movie and it was the same in the show. Its not like they are battling aliens or something.Originally posted by forensicdMovies like these make me ill. Re: Miami Vice
From what i have seen of the previews, it shows them with HUGE guns draped over their bodies and swat forces dropping through windows, and so on. I know its hollywood, but i cant stand when they take these great shows in compile them into nothing more than a lousy 2 bit script and rely on a name to hock their product. The two main characters are the same names as the original, but look nothing alike, talk nothing alike, or even act the same. Why call this miami vice, when in essence its not? Maybe im showing my age, but people are making these movies way way too soon, and i think its the laziness of the producers who have no original ideas left and just want to regurgitate the same formulas that have worked before. I mean miami vice isnt that old!Originally posted by aholbert32What are they battling against that wasnt in the show? or why he has long hair and a goatee. The least they could do is try to make them look like who they aew supposed to be.Originally posted by ExtremeGamerI just want to know why Sonny isn't wearing a white jacket in the movie."Basketball may have been born in Massachusetts, but it grew up in Indiana." - James NaismithComment

Re: Miami Vice
Well, he did have longer hair in the beginning of the show, and he always had a 5 o'clock shadow as I could remember.Originally posted by forensicdor why has long hair and a goateeComment
