If you liked the movie, you'll like the show.

I was blown away at the production value. On all levels it matched up to the movie. Sure it was a little cliched, but I expected that for the premiere episode. As the season goes on I think it'll change things up a bit. But overall I thought it was one of the best premieres of a TV show I can remember.

Is the camera suppose to be jerky like that in some scenes? It seems like when it tunes into a specific camera, that cameraman has the shakes.

The camera angles and style is just like how it was in the movie

It's shot the same as the movie. Peter Berg is directing, at least the first episode.

I'll call my shot for the last episode right now. The final episode will be about the State Championship game.

Even if this show succeeds, I can't see how it will last longer than 2 seasons. All the players would have moved on from HS by then.

Most shows usually bring fresh faces every two or three years anyway, so with high school football being the main story, I could see them pulling it off if the show got successful by just bringing in new underclassmen, or even transfers, as the series progresses like the other poster mentioned.

And there's always that high profile player that tears his knee or something that was supposed to go DI and be a superstar. That'd be a nice little story too if they went down that road with someone.
