Lets see how many teams will use the line:

    "Clear Eyes.
    Full Heart.
    Can't Lose"

They already did! Didn't you see the 2nd string QB throw a Joe Montayna strike for the TD?

That wasn't even Joe Montana. That was like McNabb on speed.

He made play but that aint a leader. That kid that was the star had all the kids respect and i dont think that kid has it. Just cuz the kid make a McNabb like play doesnt mean he's gonna get respect. Even though he would have mine

But this is the quiet kid that nobody really talked to unless they had to in practice. People will respect him if he wins games. Its always the case. Even the team started respecting him after he shook off the jitters in the huddle. When you win games, you become the leader. In football, the QB is always on the front line to win games.. so if Dillon wins, the 2nd string QB will win too.

As for the star that got injured, was he the guy the black guy started arguing with earlier in the movie? It was at a party, and it looked like they got into some heat.

                    Re: Friday Night Lights show

I thought the show was excellent. I love the single handheld camera production, just like my favorite TV show of all time, "Homicide: Life on the Streets."

The acting is excellent, and the script is really good. I also like how the show teetered on the brink of melodrama at times, but director-producer Berg reined it in just at the right time.

The last 20 minutes of this premiere hit like a train. I think the atmospheric music definitely helps set the scene of the show. There also was an interesting dynamic how it seemed the first four days of the week just flew in a blur, and then time almost stood still on Friday night, especially during the game. That's how it is in every small town that adores its high school football team.

I read the book, but I didn't see the movie. So I had nothing on film to compare.

This was a quality hour of TV, no doubt.

                    Take care,
                    PK

Show was decent. Reminds me more of Varsity Blues, with the QB getting hurt, than it does Friday Night Lights.

I do love how they are using Explosions In The Sky for the soundtrack though.
