    Friday Night Lights show

    Today was the first time I heard of it and I saw the pilot and it's actually pretty good. It looks almost just like the movie. It's about a different team and coach but it should be a good show.

      It's already on? I thought it was a fall show, the pilot is already out?

          It's coming out this fall but I guess the pilot has been leaked.

              Yup, it was sent out to critics recently. I read a small article in the NY Daily News about it being the best new...something, I can't remember what. The review was defenitly positive.

                  Saw it today, looks really good, and the team and town it takes place in are fictitious, although the team name itself is still the Panthers.

                      I can't believe how much it looks like the movie. Is there anyone with the movie who is involved with the show?

                          I'm gonna watch this tonight...I watched the Heroes pilot a few days ago and it looks good too.

                          It seems like NBC will have some great new shows this fall with Heroes, Studio 60 and FNL.

                              I wasn't a big fan of the movie, mostly because I'm a bigger fan of the book and the movie captured a different angle than the book, imo. I'll still give the show a shot, especially if i can find it on the net since NBC doesn't come in well at all at my apartment. It looked pretty nice and if OS'ers like it then I more than likely will.

                                      loved the movie and really looking foward to the show. i've been waiting for a primetime sports show like this. (not playmakers) i need to find this pilot..

                                          It focused on the football part which was a good idea. The other side could be done in a seperate movie. It would've been far too long if it focused on both.

                                              After watching the pilot this is my most anticipated show for the fall. The football action in it is done extremely well, but the rest of the content is just as good. Like jmood, I'm also surprised how much it looks like the movie. I also wasn't a big fan of the movie because I read the book first, I actually like this series after watching the pilot better than the movie.
