Agreed, Wednesday is the best day. I'm down, we should set this up next summer. It'll end up being Clay, Mgo, MJB, and me. A Browns/OSU fan, 2 Michigan fans, and a Steelers fan. Wonderful.

I love the Raptor. I do agree that you need to pick a day with low traffic to minimize the ride times. I used to go on Canada's Victoria Day and there would be tons of Canadians and all the good rides would have at least an hour wait which sucked.

When I go again, I will most likely leave the wife behind. The first time I brought her there, we went straight to the Raptor and she almost hurled. The rest of the day was limited - she's OK on the steep drops but nothing that twists or flips upside down. We went again the next year and she took gravol ahead of time and still couldn't handle it. I haven't been back in a few years but the wife will have to stay home next time. I've ridden the Millenium Force but not the new tall one yet. The Maverick looks awesome.

lol yeah, we'd be an interesting group to say the least...

We definitely gotta set this up, i think it's within pretty decent driving distance for a lot of people (i think it's only like 2 hours for me, and that's nothing...I've driven to Atlanta by myself from Detroit, so i can handle anything)

I'd go on an OS trip. I'll make sure to wear a ton of Steeler stuff as well.

We have to all wear OS gear like how you always see the Family Reunions there where they all have the same TShirt on.

Steve can go. Virginia to CP is not bad at all. Hell... the East Coasters can go too.

Hmmm, all OS gear? OK, only if Steve comes so he can iron the OS shirts. We can't go out representing OS with wrinkled shirts!

mgo - Good idea! I need to pitch that idea to the local amusement park (Kennywood). That could be a huge attraction for them!

Everyone on roller coaster sites has been going crazy about this ride. A pitcture of it got leaked last week, and apparently it was official. It looks like a great ride, and finally Cedar Point adds another coaster with inversions. I think the last ride they built with inversions was Mantis back in '96. I've been there twice, once in Millennium Force's opening year in 2000, then I went in Top Thrill Dragster's opening year in 2003 and I loved it each time. I still haven't been on a ride that comes close to Millennium Force. Hopefully I can make my way out to Sandusky soon to give this a try.

what's just flat out crazy is that i've been there when the Magnum (still a really awesome ride) doesn't have much of a line either...so many top notch coasters and the newest ones usually only have the hours long lines

I need to ride Top Thrill, sounds like a blast, though the front seat in the Raptor is my favorite

I'd take a wednesday off of work in a heartbeat come spring or summer...

Dragster isn't all it's hyped up to be. For one, it's hardly ever open. I was fortunate to get on it without any breakdowns whatsoever. The launch is as good as advertised though, flat out ridiculous. The problem is, after the climb and drop, there's nothing left. There is a roller coaster at Hersheypark called Storm Runner, which is the same kind of right (launch, vertical ascent and drop), but there's more after that. It's only 150 feet tall compared to Dragster's 420, but there's more after the drop and I prefer it over TTD.

I have, granted I got sick at magic mountain because I was sick to the whole trip to socal. I would rate Cedar Point above magic mountain. Now granted I haven't been to magic mountain in about 3 years, but Cedar Point is amazing.

This summer, I went up with my girlfriend, and after a couple of hours it rained for about an hour. The entire park basically emptied and the rain subsided, so basically... 15 minute wait to the Millenium and 20 for Dragster. Now I try to aim going on days where its going to rain...

Top Thrill: Pretty fun, but in my opinion not worth the 3 hour wait. If you can get on it within an hour, its great, but just be willing to wait through a long line and a string of breakdowns.

Millenium is in my opinion by far the best coaster I have ever been on. Gemini is very underrated. Raptor is very good too. I hope they tear down the mean streak, i hate it and the last 3 times ive been on it ive come away with cuts from being jerked around, and a headache.

Yeah, wouldn't be an easy argument to win. Then there is the very minor detail that I hate rollercoasters.
