Also, anyone notice the casino this week was the Monticeto. The same casino that the NBC show Vegas is based on.

      Speaking of Nate flying.

I missed this about his brother, Peter; his power isn't to fly, but to possess the power of those around him. I don't know how I missed that very important detail.

Yea, it's mentioned in Hiro's blog. Good catch.

You can get them online without paying, but I believe NBC is re-airing them soon.

It's like a small teaser of what to expect in this series. I'm going to guess that this show will go places we never thought it would after watching the first two episodes. This may be one of those shows that you'll watch the Pilot and think, "That's the first episode of this show?"
I loved the pilot... but I'm glad some others are starting to get interested as well!

Because it wasn't explained really until last night. You had Nate tell him he flew, and then while he was in the hospital after that incident (and having seen Isaac and Symone) he drew the stick figure sketch that came true when he walked toward Nathan on the rooftop and was hovering.

What about the possibility of Niki's husband D.L. being her alter ego? When she was kicking the crap out of the guy in the elevator the voice said "mess with OUR child" and then she had the weird "double f" symbol on her right shoulder while hooking up with Nathan on camera, and then it was gone when glasses dude came in and said to take the one.

              Great show!

I don't think D.L. is the alter ego. Though, you do make good points.

Man, I think the bouncing around is confusing me.

What exactly can that black dude with Syler do? Does he just jump into people's minds or something?

And should we assume that Syler doesn't know that Nikki has powers?

Do we know that Syler is Claire's father?

Siler isn't Claire's dad...you saw some guy chasing the cop around, wearing a trench coat, who had MULTIPLE powers (he pinned a guy to the roof, manipulated the detective chick's mind, and flew)!

The black dude I assume can just block out any penetration into his mind and creates a mental "dead zone" around him (I thought the audio dropped out when Parkman focused in on him at the bar and the audio went silent).

thats what i gathered as well...at first i figured he nullifies the heroes powers but in the coming trailer they were chasing Nathan down and cornered him until he flew straight up like a rocket....there goes that theory

there might be more to his powers like a mind wipe of some sort....

I believe in episode 2 it was confirmed that Silar is the adoptive father of Claire.

She mentions that she would like to know more about her biological parents (likely because she wants to know if they had powers like her).

I guess we don't actually see the adoption papers or anything, but Claire mentioned it to Silar as if she already knew she was adopted. Silar didn't seem bothered by it.

He, at first, said he didn't think she was ready to know her real parents, but then later agreed that she should.

I don't see that conversation as being a coverup. I think it was done to explain her character and why she doesn't exactly tell Silar everything.
