I hope the bomb goes off because thats what normally wouldn't happen in a tv show or even a movie. A bomb that demolishes NYC. That's got to get people talking about the show and next season.

Plus, I think it would go better with not only the whole storyline, but also the storyline of Hiro. There's already been some tinkering with Hiro trying to change the past/future and him not being able to beat fate, so I think the bomb going off would go right in line with that.

I hope it doesn't or at least something significantly changes in the upcoming events. Otherwise, there would be no payoff for the show. We'd know what will happen and that nothing can really be changed, making time travel a useless aspect of the show. Think about it. If Hiro can't change the past, or affect the future, then his power is useless. We get a glimpse of how things are going to turn out, and really the show will be ultimately about nothing other than the journey and not the actual storyline itself. We know how things turn out in advance, but we just see how things get to that point. Kind of destroys the tension IMHO.

I'm glad to see Sylar use powers that he stole and hasn't used much like the ice power. I believe Molly was the girl found by Parkman around the 2nd episode which is the daughter of the dead iceman. Anyone remember that?

I wonder how much unused power Peter has. He's been around almost every Hero and including other heroes that we don't know exist like maybe his mother.

I was thinking about this last night....

In terms of the finale, why does Future Hiro think if they "save the cheerleader, they save the world?" We all saw in the future episode Claire was alive... meaning she was never killed either way.

And wouldn't that mean there isn't anything they can do to stop the bomb? It should go off regardless. We know it's Peter who explodes yet everyone is focused on stopping Sylar. How would stopping Sylar not cause Peter to explode?

ALSO... is it possible Sylar could somehow kill Candice and make Peter explode by showing him something that isn't true? Otherwise, Sylar would have to kill Ted and take his power.

EDIT: We see Nathan standing next to Peter everytime we're given a glimpse of his explosion. Isn't it possible that is Sylar pretending to look like Nathan? Does Sylar even know Nathan and Peter are related?

They already changed the future somewhat when they saved Claire. Assuming they didn't save her, Sylar would've had Claire's regeneration and nobody could stop him in that other future. In "Five Years Gone", Sylar was only able to get through Claire when he was posing as Nathan. If you watch it again, future Hiro asked about Claire from HRG and he didn't want to acknowledge that she was alive.

As for the bomb, that's what I'm curious about. They either change their minds about letting Peter blow-up or something else happens that prevents Peter from exploding.

Can't Linderman "heal" someone who dies? Or is his power just related to healing and not life?

Obviously it was picked up for next year, with 30 ep's coming including a 6 episode spinoff coming as well.

30 episodes? Does the 30 include the 6 episode spinoff or no?

Because 30 episodes is beasting unless NBC is looking to avoid needing a hiatus, which would be great.

Also, I'd imagine that if 30 episodes were ordered then the gist of Season Two is already decided and the Kring realizes that 30 is absolutely necessary to fulfill the events of season two.

Its not surprising that they went this route. I'm am surprised that its only six origin episodes. In 22 or 23, 43 minute episodes there simply isn't enough time to flesh out all the stories and back stories adequately.

Gawd I love this show. I am thinking about Hiro and his father training him. I wonder if it will be them stopping time and training, and after finishing starting time again, in the vein of DBZ's hyperbolic time chamber.

Great episode, though they totally didn't didn't explain Hiro's training like I thought would/should (unless I missed something). You don't just learn stuff like that, that quickly. So what, does Hiro's dad have the same power Hiro has?

I can't wait for next week, and I can see a few things being resolved, namely Nikki/Dl's storyline. Speaking of which, how's it take DL a whole season to do something cool? I was really thinking he'd be offed tonight, but nice move against Linderman. About that, do you guys think this is the last of Linderman? Does he have Claire-like abilities but being more experienced can focus his healing outwardly? Will she be able to develop her power in order to do that? How is it that Sylar can use powers better than the people he stole them from? If Ando knows he dies in the future, and knows Sylar will kill him, yet want's Hiro to save him, why would he run off alone to take on Sylar (I've been wanting him dead for a while anyway)?
