 Re: Saw III

I just hope that SAW IV is a whole story of it's own and has nothing to do with the previous 3 SAW's.Comment

 Re: Saw III

Agreed. If Saw IV is a direct sequel to the other Saw movies, there is no way in hell that I am seeing it. If it goes off to another tangent, I may see it, but not many others will be as inclined to. The only way that I would see it is after hearing impressions that its intent appeared to be more for the Saw fans than just to make money with traps and gore.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

 Re: Saw III

I would get pissed off also if its a direct sequel. I think a prequel could work with the origins of Jigsaw, but I think that they really backed themselves in a corner here with how SAW III ended. I guess we take the wait and see approach here.Agreed. If Saw IV is a direct sequel to the other Saw movies, there is no way in hell that I am seeing it. Unless SAW IV turns into Jeff trying to get his daughter out, but still that kills the series. These producers just don't know when to end a good thing.Comment

 Re: Saw III

I really like SAW III and thought that it did a good job wrapping up the entire series as a whole with all of the flashbacks and history. Granted we have discussed this before about SAW III having holes, it still came together. The series should have ended right there with SAW III.

If they wanted to make more sequels, call them SAW Chronicles or something to that nature, LOL!Comment

You must have saw a completely different movie than I did, it wrapped up nothing, only made more questions.I really like SAW III and thought that it did a good job wrapping up the entire series as a whole with all of the flashbacks and history. Re: Saw III

Saw III was meaningful to make, though. I mean, it would have been possible to end on Saw, but the instant I read that Saw II was announced, my head thought "trilogy" right off the bat. You couldn't end on Saw II, especially with the cliffhanger of (***SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN SAW II***) Amanda becoming John's apprentice (***END SPOILER***). Saw III had to close plot holes, and the only questions left can easily be left up for assumption. Since this isn't the spoiler thread, I won't post the things on here.

Anyway, with every Saw fan I've talked to (since I'm on a Saw forum also), it sounds like most people only want Saw IV if they answer the stupid small questions from Saw III or if (***SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN SAW III***) they bring Amanda back from the dead, because for some reason they seemingly all want to have an orgy with her character... even the females (***END SPOILER***).

There is no significance if your first priority (especially when breaking ground from a trilogy) is to answer minimal questions before coming up with a plot. The plot should not revolve around the answers, but the answers should somehow be implemented in the plot, and better not ruin the experience from Saw III.

By the way, for people to say that the traps in Saw III were impossible to configure and such, I'd have to disagree. Danica and the Judge were both just locked in features that are in slaughterhouses. Timothy's was not impossible to make, either. I don't know how they made Kerry's, but I know that's not hard. Finally, Troy's was simple I guess. Meh, I guess I didn't really explain how to configure them well.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

 Re: Saw III

Saw has become a joke of itself IMO. It's becoming the same thing that happened to every horror franchise, they make some money, so the studio milks it for everything they have. I can gurantee you after Saw 4 this October, Saw 5, 6, 7, etc are all coming.Comment

 Re: Saw III

The end made more questions, but the entire movie up until the last few minutes wrapped up the entire trilogy and gave insight on Jigsaw's manipulation and tests on his apprentice, how all the characters tied together, and the questions that were left at the end of SAW III could be wrapped up in SAW IV if they strictly stick with Jeff's story to finish off the game that he needs to play.

Hollywood is money hungry and they will ride this out till it dies down, especially at such a small budget, pure profit.

 SAW= $100,285,045 (Budget: $1,200,000)
 SAW II= $152,925,093 (Budget: $5,000,000)
 SAW III=$140,150,343 (Budget: $13,000,000)

Remember EG, we all enjoy movies in the way that we perceive what is presented to us. I really liked this trilogy granted there are some serious holes, but it's not horrible in the way that franchises like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street got much worse after part 2 in each series. Friday the 13 was fine up until they got to Friday 4 or 5.Comment

Please...................No SAW V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, etc. Please end it with SAW IV: Jeff's Story and then that's it. LOL!Comment

 Re: Saw III

Yeah I agree Saw 3 did a good job of wrapping up the trilogy. They did a good job with the flashbacks showing how Saw 3 tied into Saw and Saw 2.

But as long as the Saw franchise makes money, they will continue to make more movies. You don't even need any of the original actors to appear in future movies. Butterfly Effect 2 had nobody from the first movie. Their was a 3rd I Know What You Did Last Summer film with nobody from the previous 2 films. Their continues to be "National Lampoon Presents...." films. Now of course all those films went straight to DVD but I believe the Saw brand is a lot stronger. Saw 4 could just be about Jeff and you know this film will easily pull in over 40 million at the box office.Comment
