Great post, I agree. It seems like athletes in general are getting worse. They may be stronger and faster, but not better. It shows on the International stage as well. I'm not sure if this is a symptom of a bigger issue or what, but sports has been down no question.

I really liked this topic so I decided to give it a bumpsie. I've been on a major Dawson's Creek lately and I can safely say that that television series featured the best music in a television show ever. Period. And, I would say this even if it wasn't my all-time favorite television show. The only shows that come close in my opinion is Grey's Anatomy. Saved isn't bad as well.Originally posted by EWRMETSMaybe the best post in OS's history. If you don't think Tony Romo is a Hall of Famer, you support al Qaeda.Comment

Re: The Sports and Entertainment Blasphemy Thread
Please.
His offensive line gives him forever and a day to throw the ball, and when they don't he plays terribly.
He got the credit for beating Carolina in the Super Bowl when the game was won because the Panthers kicked off out of bounds, and he drove them a massive 30 yards so his kicker could win the game.
He's good, but he's nowhere near the best.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

Re: The Sports and Entertainment Blasphemy Thread
Biggie is not the best/greatest rapper of all time, not even close. It's a lie propagated by the Bad Boy money/hype machine. He wasn't even the best from Brooklyn.
Best is gotta be Eminem, just because no one has the skills to match his flow. Most influential goes to Tupac, just because no one has the charisma to reach so many audiences in so many ways. Rakim is the greatest though. Argue if you want, but whatever. Most of the rappers you hear today would be rapping like the Sugarhill Gang if it wasn't for him. He was the innovator, peerless in his prime, and a living legend in every sense of the word.
Oh yeah one more thing. Those New York cats need to stop hating on the South. You may not like the Snap Movement, Crunk, or our country drawls, but you can't deny that the South is carrying Hip Hop right now. Ya'll had ya'lls time, from the 80's to the Shiny Suit Man era. It's our time now, so like Dro said get with it or get ran over. Besides, we ain't the ones that came out with Chicken Noodle Soup, that was just a by-product of our influence up in Harlem. You wasn't holding it down right so you looked to the South for some influence to get a hit. I ain't mad at that, cuz we've definitely borrowed some things from you. Don't worry, you East Coast guys will have ya'll time again one day. Props to the real ones like Fat Joe and Busta who don't discriminate on Hip Hop.PS: You guys are great.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
