like the ADL or something. Also the media could influence groups to sue to make a big deal out of it and generate public interest. Or maybe people will understand that it's just a movie.

The movie was exactly what i expected, a 2 hour version of the show.(which is not a bad thing) But for anyone not familiar with Ali G i recomend checking the show out. Ali G is by far the funniest character.

I think the bigger problem he might face is some of the real people he had in the movie suing for false advertisment of the use of the film clips and things like that. Somebody posted an MSNBC article earlier, it says the ediquete coach has had lawyers contact her about suing him, if she has a right to sue, imaging the rodeo guy, Southern Christian people and the frat boys. Apparently they falsified the pretense of the filming(obviously) but also shoved the release forms in peoples faces 5 minutes before they started shooting.

Not that it is a big deal to him since the movie is doing well, the studio will have is back in any legal battles.

He would be in a ton of trouble about the Jew jokes if he weren't Jewish himself, other than that it is just a biting satire and there isn't much ground to stand on trying to sue over bad taste.

they also took the money and went through with the rountine. if they were that distraught, get him off the damn air and cut the segment short and throw the money in their face.. instead they took the money and were silenced because they were getting paid and thought nothing of it.

obviously they wanna get paid again so theyll most likely sue.. never ending cycle with these people

BTW I didn't see the scenes such as the one used in the promo where he pretends to be caught by the terrorists and begs for this movie to do great or else he will be executed. Also, where he intorduces his producer Alamazar and tells the crowd that Alamazar is fat, which right after Alamazar asks Borat what did you say and he repeats to Alamazar that he's fat in his native language...I didn't see none of these scenes so wondering was I screwed out of the unedited version?!

Probably just made for the commercials. Kinda like how 2/3's of the crap in Will Ferrell movie previews arent in the actual movie.

Yeah I hope so. It would also be nice if they could get his live appearances on Conan and The Daily show and any others he's done to promote the movie but that would probably be a legal nightmare. Here is the Conan interview if you havent seen it

Well it wasn't a routine, they were told it was a documentary for his country, not for a major US release. I'm not sure how it would hold up in court, but the case for getting them to sign under false pretenses is an easy case to make. The film crew has their signature on a complete release form though, so it would be an interesting legal battle.
