The format of the final episode of this show really needs to change. Nobody wants to hear songs that we already heard this season, and nobody especially wants to hear some lousy ballad that two clowns wrote. Aside from the song Kelly Clarkson sang when she won, those sings are always terrible.

And most importantly, it's really unfair to have two people like Jordin and Blake try to sing a ballad like tonight. So much of each performance is dependent upon song choice and tailoring each song to what works for each artist, and it's just stupid and unfair to make two such different artists sing the same song.

Blake seems a little too cocky. So I'd like to see Jordan win.

It appears to me that AI has become cookie cutter to the extreme. Tonight was another waste of 60 min.
Tomorrow is probably going to be 2 hours of "let's review this lackluster season". Gee-maybe we'll get treated to a Sanjaya sighting Anyway-I agree about that beat box business. It is a novelty and he went to the well too many times with it.

If Jordin does not win after last night's performances, then this thing has become a real joke. They might as well just get some 15 year-old guy who looks like the latest pop star of the month/surfer with great hair and dimples and crown him the Idol and save about 20 weeks of our time next year.

The judges were trying to emphasize that it is a singing competition afterall, last night...but not sure how many 13 year old girls heard them.

The format of that show screwed Blake over hard, they were even through the first 2 rounds then Blake gets torpedoed with that crappy song. Too bad they didn't let him rearrange and set his own music to it, maybe it wouldn't have sucked so bad.

While I agree, especially since I was for Blake, doesn't it seem like by now people would know already pretty much who they are voting for? I mean I liked Jordin last night and Blake wasn't in his element but I still voted for Blake because I knew that overall he is better than Jordin because he is more original.

I agree if it was about singing Melinda mops the floor with everyone else.

I couldn't watch last night just because I got the feeling we weren't watching the top 2. Jordin and Blake are great, but I just didn't get the feeling like it was a final showdown. With the competitiveness between the girls, I just don't believe Jordin was the best. Melinda, Lakisha, that Beyonce chick, and maybe even Bailey Brown, a chick that was put out in the 2nd round were just as good as Jordin.

Blake, I do think was the best GUY, but I'm still not even convinced that he singing wise he should've been there. I just wish they would stop lying to themselves and call it a performance/teeny-bopper vote show instead of sticking to the "it's a singing competition". It's not. I guess up to a certain extent it is about singing, but if you prove you are good enough to get so far, after that it's about the vote and if the 12-16 year old girls like you.

I do too. She was quite decent looking, and I loved her voice. That somewhat smokey, southern voice. Whew.. She was something. The only reason she didn't move on was because of the problems with Antonella and that other chick.

Catching the tailend of the show and have never heard so many people singing off key than these people singing The Beatle's tunes.

This show seems to have run it's course.
