Re: Any unknown/unsigned bands you guys like?
Tonight, I got to looking for unknown bands and came up with some good ones:
Dream State
Corsets Are Cages
Ashton
Dream State is my favorite. Basically a mix between Something Corporate, Jimmy Eat World and Augustana (according to reviews), and I'd actually agree with that. Check them out if you like any of those bands mentioned.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Any unknown/unsigned bands you guys like?
And now for a band my girlfriend turned me on to: Dead In London. They're really the first "local" band I've been a fan of besides Mushroomhead, but they're obviously smaller-time cause they just play around Cleveland and NE Ohio. Not too bad tho.
Also, I dunno really how big they are, but Social Code is a pretty decent band. They're from Edmonton, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite music hotspots. They kinda lean towards the "Alt" in "Alt/Rock", but I still like them.
And finally, Fosterchild. It has a guy from Fuel (not the singer) and a guy from another Philly rock band (Octane). Their sound is pretty much straightforward rock, which is nice, if not a little "cookie cutter".Comment

Re: Any unknown/unsigned bands you guys like?
Major bump for some guys that deserve their props.
Course of Nature is a pretty unknown band and they're touring with Hurt right now (which is the reason I checked them out). Well I am loving their CD that is out right now (from their site, other places, and iTunes) and it's getting many plays from me. I enjoy being able to get "lost" in music and I definitely can with their stuff.Comment

"Bad Veins" from Cincinnati. Saw their show, it was awesome. Two guys, one of them uses an old school synthesizer.
"Gold and Warm" is one of my favorite songs right now, minus the horrendous beginning."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Missing Tomorrow is from my area, I work with the lead singer, they are all pretty cool dudes. They have played with Cartel and All Time Low, and have that sound.

I had no idea Australia produced such good rock music, but there are two bands you definitely should check out if you are a fan of rock. They bring both skill and creativity.

Re: Any unknown/unsigned bands you guys like?
I've been a fan (sort of) of these guys since I saw them on that Ozzy MTV reality show. I'm pretty sure they're still unsigned (don't even know if they're still together, truth be told) but I really dig the sound.

Pop Evil:
One of my new favorites. I love these guys and they're very quickly working their way up my short list of favorite bands. They're from Grand Rapids, MI and they have a new CD coming out on August 12th
