Probably the best I could say, if they even fit into a genre.

Of course, I hate trying to fit anything into a certain genre. I think it's really dumb.

Let me guess Husker, you've heard two songs by FOB (Dance, Dance and Sugar, We're Going Down)

            Just a wild hunch.

Aside from maybe "This Ain't A Scene", "You're Crashing" is the strongest track on the CD. Why? Butch Walker.

There is no genre greater than Powerpop/Pop-punk.

London Calling was many things, but pop-punk it was not.

I thought the first track was called 'Thriller'? According to this track listing from various places:

                          1. Thriller
                          2. The Take Over, The Breaks Over
                          3. This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race
                          4. I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)
                          5. Hum Hallelujah
                          6. Golden
                          7. Thnks Fr Th Mmrs
                          8. Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?
                          9. The (After) Life Of The Party
                          10. The Carpal Tunnel Of Love
                          11. Bang The Doldrums
                          12. Fame < Infamy
                          13. You're Crashing, But You're No Wave
                          14. I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers

That is the correct finalized tracklist. There were a lot of tentative tracklists that were floated around before the titles were settled on. For instance, up until the actual CD leaked, "You're Crashing" was believed to be titled "Law & Order", and likewise for "Thriller" as "Car Crash Hearts."

This ain't a scene is catchy but still annoying. I just can't warm up to this genre of music at all. Though I will admit the new MCR track is nowhere near as annoying as their older stuff. It has more of a hard edge.
