No, i'm not hearing impaired. I started using CC a few years ago though when I had a real bitchy neighbor who was always calling the cops for my tv being too loud. You know how it goes, you're watching 24 and the terrorists are whispering to on another, you turn the volume up a bit, then a bomb goes off louder than heck (I use a surround sound 5.1 system) and next thing you know the police are at your door, LOL.

Anyways, since I started using the CC I realized there is a lot of dialogue that is inaudible and/or that occurs offscreen that you may not hear. Since I'm a fast reader I've always just left it on, as I said, if you've never checked it out you should, there's a lot that you will see you are missing, even with great hearing.

I saw this a couple nights ago. Great movie, though I did feel it was a very hopeless story. Definitely recommend seeing it in a theatre.

I felt like the movie left things open to the viewer's interpretation. You could choose to view it as hopeless or hopeful. I thought that was part of the beauty of the film. Though I definitely sided more with the hopeless solution as it did bum me out, so to speak.

Well I saw it tonight and it's a great film, very haunting. I too felt somewhat hopeless until the end, although the ending could be interpreted in a few ways, so I don't feel i'm giving away anything by saying that. Definitely a must buy on DVD IMO. Especially if it ever does come out on HD-DVD.

I didn't like it that much, I guess my expectations were too high. It was better than anything I've seen in a theater recently but I was hoping for more.

Some guy at work said it was the most gruesome film he'd ever seen so I was expecting a lot more gore and stuff. I guess he has not ever seen Saving Private Ryan or Hostel if he thinks this movie is gruesome.

A history of violence was a more violent and that was another overrated film that came out semi-recently. But I agree...not that much gore. I just thought that the story was lacking, just wasn't that interesting.

I thought History of Violence was vastly overrated. I hope that isn't the case for this film.

Watched it on DVD last night. Outstanding film. Loved it and the score is just awesome.

This movie is well-done, well constructed, well thought out. When you're done, watch the extra content on how it was conceptualized and then brought to life. It's amazing the amount of work that went into this. Don't go in with any expectations. Just watch and enjoy. Oh...and not for the little kiddies imo.

I thought it was alright. Then again, I haven't felt most of the 06-07 movies.

I loved Blood Diamond, but hated Babel and Children of Men. This was a pretty good movie, but it didn't blow my mind. I probably won't ever watch it again unless I get it in HD.

On a somewhat related note, how "The Fountain" didn't win the art direction and sound awards is a complete mystery to me.
