Thought it would be nice to have a thread where you can post the daily happenings in the world of stupidity. Before anyone thinks they're funny, "yes I'm an expert."

Anyway, here are some I found today:

Press box snake makes reporters flee



WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - A 3-foot black snake sent reporters scurrying in the press box as the the New York Mets defeated the Cleveland Indians 6-5 in a spring training game on Tuesday.

Whale kills would-be rescuer in Japan



TOKYO (Reuters) - A Japanese fisherman drowned on Tuesday after a whale he was trying to rescue capsized his small fishing boat, a coastguard official said.

In Belmont City, NY they are passing legislation that says you can't smoke outdoors anymore. Only in houses occupied by one person, and cars that only have the smoker in it.

I can't stand liberals, telling everyone what to do.

In Belmont City, NY they are passing legislation that says you can't smoke outdoors anymore. Only in houses occupied by one person, and cars that only have the smoker in it.

I can't stand liberals, telling everyone what to do.

Things like this don't bother me (aside from the fact I'm not a smoker). It'll be just like the "No cell phone while driving" thing here in NYC... that is NEVER, EVER enforced. Pisses me off, to say the least. You'll see a cop look RIGHT AT someone driving while on their cell phone... and nothing. Why pass things like this if you don't enforce them? If they're that bored, go play with yourself or something... don't find stupid reasons to make up stupid laws.

I can't stand smokers; slowly killing everyone around them. If I wanted to get cancer, I'd smoke myself. My rights to Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are being taken away every time I come in contact with someone smoking.

I'm not saying smoking should be completely banned, but at least it should be banned from public places. I agree 100% with what this new law says. If you want to smoke, do it in your own car or your own home, where I do not have to come in contact with it.

I don't smoke, but I have to wonder what smartass decided that you couldn't smoke in BARS!!! in certain cities. If you can't smoke in a bar, where the **** are you supposed to smoke? I hate leaving the bar smelling like smoke, but there isn't much if any real proof that second hand smoke kills, and denying rights to smoke in a place made for using drugs to have a good time, well that is denying life, liberty and the pursuit of freaking happiness.

You just gotta remember that different people pass laws than the people that are supposed to impose them.
