Frankly I am not a big fan of any ESPN radio shows, may be time to invest in satellite radio. Oh just to pile on..

Thank God for 1310 The Ticket in Dallas, I don't have to listen to ESPN Radio.

You would think New York would have at least a few options, unfortunetly you'd be wrong.

Aren't they trying to get Sporting News Radio back on 620 AM? That was the best. At first, it was on all day, then they started replacing it with Jewish programming during the day. It got to the point that they only broadcasted actual Sporting News programs late at night, like 1 in the morning. I liked having an option between 1050 ESPN and WFAN. Even here in Raleigh, our options are ESPN Radio or Fox Sports.

Max Kellerman or Bengingo & Roberts?

That whole ordeal is idiotic, IMO. Yes Imus said something stupid and offensive that he shouldn't have said - NEWSFLASH - that's what he's always done! I have no idea why this is the incident to be blown up.

IMO, it pales in comparison to what's said in hip-hop songs.

Eh I'm just as big of a hip-hop fan as he is, and anyone with a brain knows that "nappy headed ho" would be the cleanest thing said about women in a majority of hip-hop tracks.

As a Mets fan, I love Benigno and Roberts. It's when it gets to Mike and the Mad Dog that I have issues. Althoug I must admit I'm listening to them right now. It's either them or listen to Tim Brando talk golf all day on Sporting News Radio.

I can't listen to either show for very long. If I'm on the road in my car during the day I'll tune in, besides that I probably stream it once or twice a week at my desk.

                        True.

I just think the whole Imus thing was a result of the straw that broke the camel's back. As you stated, this isn't the first time he said something outrageous. And, if given the opportunity, it won't be the last.

Mike and the Mad Dog can get annoying after a while especially when one of the callers disagrees with them, all Mike and Chris will do is talk over them so they can't get their point across.

Agreed, plus I think he picked on the worst group ever. I mean you go and insult the "great" female student athletes who take it way too much to heart. I certainly didn't hear any malice or hatred in his voice when he made the coments. Of course folks like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton had to stick their noses into it and make it a bigger story then it was.

I've heard worse things from Imus and 10x worse from oh, Rush Limbaugh.

Nice dig...you would be wrong, but nice dig. Actually, I'd prefer RL over Cowherd for a sports talk radio show.
