Smokey Bones sounds so good now, thanks!

      Fast food...blech.

If I need something quick, I usually get Subway.

At school, I eat all dining commons food... which is a small step above fast food... lol. I usually just eat a sandwich and some fruit and veggies... but i often splurge if they have somethign I like. Lately, though, I've been going to the Subway-like place at my dining commons... $1.65 for a Sub... it's sweet.

I kind of wish I could have that burger right now, though...

I LOVE Smokey Bones. We had one in Wilmington. Don't have one in Winston though. I miss it dearly.

I'm surprised it's a big chain! I saw one for the first time when we got to Springfield, but now we go at least once a month. The triple combo is where it's at! I LOVE the brisket and the pulled pork, and my wife loves their sandwiches and wraps.

I always get a triple combo. It's way too much food for me to eat in one sitting, but it's always good the next day. I've got no problem throwing a 1/2 rack of ribs into a box and taking it home for the next day!

Smokey Bones only has 2 restaurants around Pittsburgh. Fortunately 1 is so close to my house. Both are about 1 year old so it's just starting to move into this area.

One other thing I love about the place is that it's pretty fast to get seated. I live in a fast growing, popular suburban area. Most restaurants like Olive Garden, Bravo and Red Robin have a minimum 1.5 hour wait at 5pm on the weekend. 6pm and it's over 2 hours. 4pm is ideal, but it's too early to eat for me. Smokey Bones is always packed, but the wait is relatively short - typically 35 minutes.

I have one near me in the Reading area and also one in the Wilkes-Barre area. I LOVE the place! You need to go when there is unlimited ribs for 16.99! WOW! Nice to sit at the bar, watch a game, have a few beers, and eat enough ribs for the month!!

Yep, I have one 2 miles down the road from me, on what we call restaurant row. Smokey Bones, Friday's, Red Lobster, Bravo, Chipolte, Arby's, Olive Garden, Max and Erma's, and Baker's Square are all in a 1/2 mile radius. Then we have a mall food court and a Longhorn, Ruby Tuesday's, Damon's and a Outback down the road.

                            Chipotle's chicken is delicious.

Sounds very similar to the stretch of road that I live off of. Food places, strip malls, Best Buy's and all that junk within 5 minutes from my house. Only thing that sucks is traffic is often congested and there are stop lights every 10-20 yards, but I've gotten used to it. These are the restaurants on that strip: Red Robin, Longhorn, Bravo, Olive Garden, Max and Erma's, Smokey Bone's, Hereford and Hops, On the Border (Mexican), Applebee's, Lonestar, Subway, Quiznos and all the typical fast food places. Ironically, my favorite place is a small chain restaurant called Springfield Grille. It's more expensive and classier (no jeans or t-shirts), but well worth it as the food is outstanding. I think they have one in Boardman, OH as well.
