    Re: Satellite Radio

I have Sirius and I can't go back to terrestrial radio. The talk and shock jock shows are the best. Along with NBA and NFL you can't beat it. Nothing better than listening to Sunday Drive while your watching some games or on the road.

Is there any reason to wait for the merger? I mean it's not like the people who are customers with sirius or xm willhave to upgrade or something.

I made the move to Sirius this past Christmas and can't imagine not having it. I chose Sirius due to the NFL and the college athletics coverage. Rivals Radio during football season is going to be worth the 12 bucks a month alone.

And if you listen to rock music, it doesn't get any better than Octane, Classic Vinyl, Classic Rewind, The Spectrum, and the Coffee House.

It'll probably be another year or two before anything drastic happens with the merger. At least that's what I'm hearing.

              Re: Satellite Radio

I'm going to go with the the Starmate 4 for $69.99. I wish it had a knob to turn the stations, but it's not biggie. I was looking at the Sportster 4, but it's $119.99 and I don't know really what the differences are and if it's worth paying an extra 50 bucks. Anyone know the main differences?

It's $70 to get installed and every place said I need the FM transmitter or the direct adaptor I forget what it's called..

The warranty is also only 30 bucks for 4 years .

              Sound good to you guys?

XM still claims the merger will be complete by late '07/early '08. So, I guess we'll just have to see where it goes from there.

WOW how did I go so long without it. It's wonderful! I drove around 45 minutes just to listen to Stern ( I forgot how much I enjoyed his show plus it was the Andy **** Roast)

                    Great stuff!

I cancelled my XM over that O&A bullsh*t... but if you like MLB or ACC sports, unfortunately as I do... XM has 'em both.

I do that quite often. If you want some other classic roasts Dookie, just PM me. I've got all the sirius roasts saved to my computer. The Artie Lange and BabaBooey roasts are the best.

I loved Sirius radio. Hopefully tomorrow at work my computer at my job is will allow me to listen to it online.

I was thinking about buying the boombox just incase (they don't like us streaming either) but I'll wait and see.

Check to make sure you can get a signal first inside the building. I can't pick one up where I work, so I've had to start recording Stern and putting it on my IPOD to listen to at work.

Are the NFL games online as well? Or will I only be able to listen in my car (unless I bought a boom box etc..?)
