Re: Apple Mac Lovers
Thinking of purchasing a new MacBook Pro "13. It will be my main system. How powerful are the new models? And for someone that's been using Windows his entire life, how different is the Mac OS?
I'll be using it for school, music, movies, gaming, etc.. Pretty much everything.Comment

Apart from how you install programs, where some things are located (like window controls are on the left, not the right) and how open windows/applications act, there isn't really a huge difference. It took me a few days to get used to it - but I'm glad I made the switch. When it comes to trouble shooting and stuff, it can be very different - like using the command line (terminal) is quite different... How the HD is laid out is different... But these are things you just get used to.
As for how powerful - they're good computers. I know people use MacBook pros for video editing, so they've got some power behind them.Comment

Thinking about getting a macbook pro in a few weeks after the semester ends to have for the next fall semester. Just wanted some a bit smaller then my 17" HP laptop and just liked the way mac has felt when i've used them in the past.

Re: Apple Mac Lovers
Just read up on some of this. Not sure I may still go ahead and get it, but we'll see. Need more details on the new one and how much it'd cost before making a decision either way, mainly the graphics, speed, etc.Last edited by Chrisksaint; 04-09-2012, 02:45 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Apple Mac Lovers
Now of course if you need a laptop asap than go ahead and buy the current one but if you can hold off until the summer I personally think it's better to wait.Comment
