I run Fusion on my Mac for a Windows XP machine. I don't use it that much though. No gaming either.

Anyone using any antivirus software now that it's known that Mac's can get viruses.

I was looking up Norton and might go buy it tomorrow.

But rather hear from others before I make a purchase.

I'm sure it's a good idea to have antivirus on your Mac, but I have had zero virus-related issues in my six years of Mac ownership, so I'm not concerned about it.

Report: OS X 10.7 Lion Will Launch On Mac App Store Next Wednesday At 9:00AM PT

We know the release of OS X Lion is imminent, not just because Apple said it was coming in July, but because supplies of MacBook Airs and MacBooks are dangerously constrained, yet Apple is holding back new models.

So when’s Lion dropping? The latest rumor says right after this holiday weekend… and we’re inclined to believe it.

A source talking over at Three Guys And A Podcast notes that they have been told that OS X 10.7 Lion will be released on Wednesday, July 6th at 9:00AM PST, noting:

One particular item of interest about this news is that with OS X Lion being an online-release-only, Apple can wait until the 11th hour to release new OS. They don’t have to first lock it down, then press it onto DVDs, then box it, then ship to their hundreds of stores and through distribution in order to meet a certain publicly announced launch date. With an online release, Apple just needs to upload the final release to their servers and then make it available.

Just yesterday we reported that current rumor suggested a July 19th launch date of OS X 10.7 Lion alongside new MacBook Airs, but we think a July 6th launch makes more sense.

It doesn’t seem likely that Apple would release Lion on the exact same day as they are announcing their quarterly financial results, and MacBook Air and white MacBook supplies are so constrained right now that Apple can’t wait on Lion much longer to release new models.

July 6th — coming after a holiday weekend — makes more sense to us than any rumor we’ve heard yet. It’s also a great day for new hardware to drop. Plus, Lion is now stable and feature complete. It’s ready to ship!

So prepare your Macs. We’re pretty sure Lion will end up launching early next week.

That's good news. Been anxiously awaiting Lion. I've been frequenting macrumors.com the past few weeks and the people over there that already have Lion have given some pretty good self-reviews of the OS.

On a side not, I'm gonna go ahead and post this in this thread since it got lost in the shuffle on the NCAA board.

So yea, RynoAid posted this vid of NCAA 12. When I play it on 1080p it gives me these jaggies.

Can someone with a Mac watch this vid in 1080p and let me know if they see the same thing? I've been trying to figure out since yesterday why its doing this.

Happens to me sometimes, usually when I've got other things using up resources as well. A bump down to 720p does the trick (and I can't really notice a difference on a MacBook screen anyway).

You're not going to see any difference between 720p and 1080 on a computer screen anyway.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'll just watch it in 720p then. It's weird cause I've watched other YouTube vids in 1080p with no jaggy effect.

I am so glad I didn't spend any money on that program. As someone who went to school in preparation for a career in post-production, Apple's removal of essential, everyday features is a joke. To think one of the reasons why I bought a Mac Pro was 64-bit FCP...now, I may just have to consider investing in Avid Media Composer. Nice going, eh?
